It is interesting and something different from the norm. I will give it a rent through Gamefly and play through it to check it out. The demo got me interested in a game that I had known very little about up until now. I guess it did its job.
If you like dungeon crawler style isoRPGs then give Titan Quest a shot. It is like Diablo with Greek mythology.
the above plus Tribes, Enemy Territory, etc. I played all those and they all felt and played different. I loved UT. Now the variation is pretty much the boxart and small tweaks. It might as well be one game with a ton of different map packs.
Two of my favorite MP shooters this generation are L4D series and Borderlands because each was like a breath of fresh air. Hopefully Brink can deliver the same.
What are you even talking about lazysey? So 5% of the population hated MW2 so they will buy Black Ops because of it? OK.
"Call of Duty has done this already" Done what exactly? Converted single player people into MP players? Hardly. It alienates bunches of players and leaves only certain types. What Brink is trying to do is make a game where you don't have to deal with "leaderboard first" idiots and foul mouthed 12 year olds that litter the other...
Where does it say in the article they are looking to take on Call of duty? This is a game about converting players who only play campaign into MP gamers.
Also, Black Ops isn't MW3 by IW. It is a Treyarch game so i'll believe it will own the FPS players a half year when I see it.
Yes, a lot of people will be playing Black Ops. Brink doesn't launch until spring (probably March) people will be looking for something else to play at some point and n...
Giving new people a better entry point/level is great as long as there is still advanced gameplay for those who look for that.
"Easy to pick up, hard to master" would be great for everyone.
I am getting ready to do a budget gaming PC build soon and that 6850 looks nice. Comparable to the 5830, a bit below the 5850 but with a single 6pin setup and a low power draw. I'll grab one and crossfire them later. Should be good bang for the buck.
Really?
Eusrogamer named it their number one of the show and everyone says it had the longest lines to test besides all the rave reviews it got in the hands on articles and it doesn't crack the top 10 for these guys?
From the early rumored specs on the new cards I will probably be looking at picking up a 6850. Due to PSU limitation I can't Xfire anything heavy and the 6850 outperforms the 5830 but on a single 6 pin setup with a similar powerdraw to a 5770. If they slot it in the price range of a 460GTX 768-1gb I will be all over it for the future Xfire ability on an AMD board.
and a beta, a demo, and for it to be spring already! :D
I love general "it sucked" comments. Care to actually say what was wrong with it or why it was so crappy?
My 2c on Borderlands...
Good FPS gameplay, solid graphics and sound, GREAT writing and comedy element, nonexistent to mediocre story, lots of loot and nice RPG leveling, great co-op, lots of replay value with different classes, 2nd playthrough and also the upcoming rescaling patch, plus just loot hunting in endgame.
With $40 of DLC pac...
It is nice to see a company actually police their game. I definitely like the "double or nothing" at the end if you want your ban manually investigated.
I was drooling for the game last spring and counting down for the Sept release before the delay. Spring feels like a long way off but at least it looks like the game is shaping up to be awesome.
I picked it up day 1 but I am holding off on playing it until the patch hits and I can get XP for doing so.
I'm still sitting on a dev team autographed PC copy that I got as a gift for my birthday. I should definitely sell it. If I kept a video game item collection it would be one thing but it is just sitting around the house.
I probably should have unloaded it when IW broke up as there definitely won't be any more of them made and that was probably the height of interest for it.
They will definitely carry a shortage through the holidays. It is smart business, you get all the free pub and marketing when everyone is trying to source them and the news starts talking about shortages of the "hot Christmas toys". Even people who weren't that interested will try to get them that way just to say they have one.
I want the old 4 control arcade X Men made into an XBLA game. I would gladly shell out $15 for it. They did TMNT, which was the same era arcade game. I would love to have all the quarter munching games like that I used to play in the arcades again.
It is great to see developers actually concerned about keeping the customer happy and not just prioritizing the almighty dollar.
Silicon Knights is listed at the end of the trailer so I would say it is safe to assume they are making the game or have a hand in development.
EDIT: The IGN article confirms it, Activision teamed with SK.
This game ranks right up there with the Baldur's Gate games and Planescape: Torment for me. Tons of quality gaming hours to be had for $10 with this purchase, especially considering all that is included in the Diamond Edition.
