Unbelievable how negative some people can be. It a win all around as far as I can tell, this kid did an amazingly selfless thing and was rewarded by a company with the resources to do so. Does it matter if MS come out of it with some kudos, ultimately, its a positive story where this kid comes out on top in all respects, he is the one who garners the most attention and respect, not MS.

Hope this turns out to be true, a full remaster would be awesome. I replayed it around 2 years ago on my PS3, it is one of my favourite games of last gen due to how original it was.

Most criminally under appreciated title of 2017. I played on PS4Pro back in February and it was a stellar experience, what an incredible game. The idea that if you have a PC with the clout, it could look even better makes the game even more impressive again.

Absolutely spot on assessment, Nintendo have done incredibly well in making themselves relevant again but Sony are delivering in every way possible.

Why anyone would care about his opinion is beyond me. So far he has delivered very little for me as an Xbox owner, with the last year or so making me feel like the Xbox1 I bought is basically useless as all they do is push their latest model.

Can only play one thing at a time, as interested as I am in trying Monster Hunter, it's Nino Kuni 2 that I will be buying first in January.
I really enjoy Sony's approach of mixing in these remastered with their other titles, they seem to have a knack for choosing titles I loved too, so I am super excited.

I personally think it was a strong bracket and would complain if any of these games had won (I have played them all).
I think Darkman is wide of the mark if he thinks Horizon had no shot, the story in that game was incredible and really well delivered and there is no question the game deserved to be in the conversation.
I don't think that's fair at all, it has as much of a shot as any of the other titles, it was simply a case that it was was a tough group containing equally deserving titles, but only one can win.
Have to disagree squire, the story in this game has you desperate to reach the end because it is so well constructed and told....you need to find new friends to discuss games with, your current crop are clueless 😂
It has been a great year and competition was stiff. I personally would have picked Horizon as my game of the year however, clearly Zelda is also a fabulous game and while Horizon might not have won any awards, I don't think it reflects on the game in any way.

Top marks to this amazing kid and well done to MS for handling it in this way. Its easy to be bitter and condemn MS for exploiting the opportunity, but I personally respect any organisation who deal with their fanbase in this way.
