"Phil Harrison is Chuck Norris's dad"

BWAAAAHAHAHAHAHAH! Great material! (Wipes tears from eyes)

Also, did someone at the top of this thread really say that Nintendo copied MS's avatars and motion controls? I think I'll head on back to Willy Wonka's chocolate factory, where logic and truth are more highly valued.

My job is teaching English to international students from all over the world, including men and women who hail from Muslim families and/or cultures. They are tremendously sensible and likable people. Of course they are! They, like everyone else in the world, are just people.

I do understand Sony’s concern after the backlash in Europe a few years back about some cartoons depicting the prophet Mohamed (there are several acceptable spellings of the name if you don’t recognize this o...

You have just proven me right. Your comments earlier sounded like you had sat down for a good long time with the PS3, specifically Uncharted, which now you're contradicting. You say today is the first time you've seen the PS3 in action on your own TV, meaning you haven't had the time to do any real gaming.

I called for a truce, but you are choosing to make a horrible name for 360 fans right now. You've got a good system at home--TWO of them if you do indeed own a 360 and a PS3...

Dude, I'll try not to be mean to you, but your "time with the PS3 and with one of the PS3's 'best games'" obviously never happened. Please just enjoy your 360 and let us enjoy our PS3s.

Otherwise even more people will see right through the fact that you "put up with" your own sense of inadequacy by trolling on PS3 forums.

Enjoy Gears 2 when it comes out. It looks pretty cool. Peace (and I'm not trying to sound cool, I'm literally asking for pea...

First of all, let me say I'm glad to see a list that finally has R&C in the top five.

I don't spend much on games but since I bought my PS3, here's my list. While I enjoyed all of these games, I've put them in order of how much, from most to least. If you're interested.

R&C: Tools of Destruction
MGS4
Uncharted
NG: Sigma
Folklore
Heavenly Sword
R&C: Quest for Booty
Fl0w
Genji: Days of the Blade (paid $12 fo...

A character named Snow should definitely tide me over until the game releases in 2010.

The word "sequel" doesn't make Mirror's Edge an automatic no-buy, but I share Mr. MacDougall's concern. My biggest worry with this game was that it would be a reasonable length (10-15 hrs). Talk of TWO sequels doesn't exactly alleviate that worry.

I give this article two hours before it shows up at the top of the N4G homepage. Any takers?

Here are similarly themed passages from Play TM's reviews of Ninja Gaiden Sigma (PS3 exclusive) and Ninja Gaiden II (360 exclusive). You should have no trouble coming up with a reasonable judgment about this site's bias and/or credibility.

Ninja Gaiden Sigma = 76%
Quote from review:
"Is it hard to develop a good camera angle from within a game? This simple principle seems to elude us in many games and Ninja Gaiden falls as yet another victim...In my opinion, PS3...

The PS3 doesn't need saving. It seems that every good game that comes out will SAVE THE PS3. Stop it. The Playstation brands has been alive and well for some time now, and LBP will undoubtedly be a welcome addition to a strong lineup.

The confusion comes from the fact that Cnet and MS were in bed together, so to speak, a few years back with some hefty advertising deals, which raised some eyebrows as conflict-of-interest (software company feeding money so heavily into a company that reviews software, among other things). Same accusations that were aimed at Gamespot (division of Cnet) during the whole Gerstman-gate thing. Oddly, I can't find the website anymore that details the MS/Cnet deals from before. Anyone please fee...

is that AC: Complete is only planned for Japan, let alone the version that will contain a demo for FFXIII. I was going to drop the hammer and import on day 1, but there's pretty much no way to guarantee that I'd get one of the first releases, so Square has just lost another 40 bucks. This is getting f'ing ridiculous.

White Knight anyone?

took the words right out of my mouth. R&C (both ToD and QfB)and Folklore are terrific games. Funny thing is, if you go back and look at reviews for Folklore, many of them are really positive, but I guess no one bought the game. And I have to say that Tools of Destruction is still my favorite PS3 game to date. Love Insomniac.

The pixellation on the helmet would mean that 2K didn't even bother with bilinear filtering--which was a PS2 staple--on the port of a PS3 game. The Bioshock DEMO looked better than this on my SDTV. Sorry, folks. You'll excuse me if I don't buy the BS flamebait on some random guy's blog.

Um...fail? Even if this thing could have buried the PSP a couple years ago, that seems pretty unlikely now with all the developer love the PSP has been seeing for the last year or so.

Interesting how when Square announced FFXIII for the 360 they said they weren't trying to push the console war in any particular direction. Anyone notice how the NA Square website STILL doesn't have a PS3 section despite the console being out for two years? Yet they give 360 permanent and timed exclusives, and now they have a special 360 booth at TGS even though they have some high profile PS3 games coming out.

The jump from Nintendo to Sony ended up working out for Square, but...

You make a good point, and I mostly agree with you. However, if Square simply wants a truckload of money, why haven't they done an FFVII remake (remember Sony still owns publishing rights to that game)? What company wouldn't want to make 1.5 million sales on the first day?

I think two things are happening. 1) Sony did something to annoy Square--possibly the PS3 launch fiasco. And 2) Square is just getting lazy. They have been complaining for awhile now that they don't like p...

All this love for single player games or game components shows just how mistaken this article is. It seems like most of the dislike for single player comes from reviewers, who complain that a game "doesn't have $60 legs" if single player is the game's main focus.

It strikes me that every time a good PS3 game comes out--all the way back to Resistance 1--someone says, "Will this ONE game be enough to save the PS3?" Let's stop the nonsense now. There are more good games in the PS3 library than I can afford right now, with a nice big pile of them coming in the next two months.

Can we all just admit that the PS3 and the 360 BOTH have some terrific games, and depending on your taste, either would be worth buying?
