they put out a machine that wasn't exactly the graphical powerhouse that Sony and MS released, but did have a rather innovative motion controller and, by being an upgraded Gamecube of sorts, could churn out games that weren't hideous, but not HD. Pretty much visuals that the casual could live with.

but I'm seriously holding off on a 360 now just because I think that price is going to drop by 100 bucks by the time God of War comes out. The 360 has, through retailers or MS directly, received more price cuts, rebates, gift cards, etc than anytime I can remember. I'm going to predict and Arcade sku that's 99.99 and an elite sku going for 199.99 by March. Guys, it's not that crazy. Keep in mind that XBL fee. MS is making bank on that.

Is this a deal that MS gives Walmart some sort of assistance to make happen or is this something the retailer does on its own? I ask because you gotta wonder why Walmart is doing it's second gift card promo with the purchase of a 360. Is it possible that they're having trouble moving units like they used to or are they trying to clear out inventory for some reason? Maybe a new sku?

and didn't get the game because of that, then hey, I cna't fault you. I wasn't a huge fan of the controls at first either. You really have to play the game for some time before they grow on you but once they do, you'll appreciate them. Going back to COD after this was really weird. Killzone was a simulation. If you've ever held a rifle you know there's some kick. If rifles handled like they do in COD then just about everyone would qualify as an expert on the range.

darn. always a caveat. Still a good deal if hdmi doesn't matter to you. A refurbed unit scares me, but I believe Best Buy will fix it for free. Heck, you may be able to buy this, return it and get a 360 with an HDMI port if it breaks.

Especially with the ever growing amount of content on the PSN. But would anyone really do it? Gamefly is like 15 bucks a month. With that you get retail games sent to you. This would presumably only cover the games available on PSN right now. So that's the PS1 classics, maybe the PSP games, and the PSN games. Unless they throw in a subscription service to the video store, I don't think it's worth it.

but where or how does VGChartz come up with these numbers? Are they just estimates? I know they're always wrong but I never really know why they're always wrong. Maybe they're just guessing ala Patcher.
but I never did all the side missions. I could probably pop it in right now and get about ten hours worth of playtime time out of it. The game probably was too big for more missions. Instead of simply giving you more missions in Liberty City, why not give the player a new locale. Like maybe Philly or Vice City. That would've been awesome. Really open that world up ala San Andreas.
