So you can either keep making the prediction and appear more foolish, or you can admit you got it wrong and move on. Tiered payments of 30 bucks every quarter, ten bucks a month, just stop it already.
but if you got banned, and you had a substantial library of games, are you really going to buy a PS3 and take the hit on trading all those games in? Even if you sell them yourself you're still going to take a major loss on those games. Nah, those guys weren't forced to get another 360 but I highly doubt they didn't. Between Modern Warfare 2, the massive bans, and the holiday season, it's no surprise that MS pushed more units than Sony.
And keep in mind that MS has a cheaper sku ...
I thought the show was pretty good. No Jack Black screaming something unintelligible every time he's on stage and, while he made an appearance, no Samuel L. who we know doesn't know 2 things about games....at least games today.
My only gripe is with the award itself. What the heck was it? A monkey in pink overalls or something? Why can't we use a more traditional looking award. Something that when someone sees it they don't wonder whether it's a spoof or not.

Holy crap that looks like what I expected the PS4/Xbox 720 to produce. I'm telling you guys, the PS3 has what it takes to go until 2017 and still produce impressive games. I don't see myself buying a new console for a good while. Not when PS3 is doing this and it's only going to get better.
Arkham Asylum because it has name recognition but it seems like this one takes place in Gotham City. Shouldn't the name have something to do with Gotham?
Halo hasn't exactly been a franchise that's wowed people visually....at least not since Halo 2. This one looks pretty good.

for my tastes at least. I would like if the FF logo was emblazed on it. Or maybe have a series of them with a certain FF character on it. Can you imagine how quickly the Seiphroth or Cloud system would sell out? I'd import one of those just for the resale value.

Not even the Wii fanboys can make that statement. Nothing is over my man. Both Sony, MS, and Nintendo have a lot left. And if you take Nintendo out of the equation, you can't make that statement with a straight face.
you realize that console sales aren't limited to just North America, right? 360 isn't exactly destroying the PS3 in N.A. anyway.
and maybe not the year after. Sony's CEO, Sir Howard Stringer, is all about getting that company to become profitable. Why drop the price again when you're this close to becomming just that. And they're doing great with sales and word of mouth. There's no need. Unless a 99.99 360 hits next year, there may be no reason.
On a different note, does anyone really expect the PS3 to cost the same as a 360 anytime soon? Standard HDD, blu-ray, standard wifi, blu-tooh tech, etc. I don't.
and if my 60gb died and I had to buy the slim, I might cry. It's not just because I think the slim looks weird, it's because I missed out a lot of PS2 games and this lets me play all of 'em on one machine.
on topic, looks like Sony's next machine won't drop until 2017 or later. If the machine is just now getting close to a break even point, you gotta think they're going to stick with it until they can recoup some of the initial loses.
If God of War 3 and GT5 is nothing, but another price cut and Natal is something, then you sir have really become a crazy person. First off, you don't know that MS is going to cut the price again. And I won't say Natal won't sell because just about everything sells well on 360 in North America, but you don't think there'll be any buyer's remorse ala Halo ODLC once people get Natal home and start knocking crap over or realizing how silly they look?
no Uncharted 2? Gotta admit I'm shocked. Thought the marketing and everything else was superb. Like I said earlier, NPD is North America and North America is 360 turf. Worldwide it's a different story.
Should be interesting to see how this does compared to FFXIII in the U.S.
