A huge annoucnement would be "Mass Effect 2 planned to have 10 DLC packs with over 200 hours of new gameplay" or, obviously, "Mass Effect 2 is going multi-platform."
Ah well. Can't fault them for trying to get pub.
@all the 360 fanboys laughing at the people that thought it was coming to PS3. Now you know how PS3 owners felt when 360 people were swearing that MGS4 was going to be annoucned for 360. Seemed like every E3 event for 3 years straight ...
but you don't need a lightening fast connect to play games online. And if you go to a University that provides internet via Wifi only, like my school did, then you have no choice in the matter.
MS does something to rip off the consumer, and the die-hard that visits a site like N4G says more power to them? If you're stupid enough to do it you deserve to get ripped off? That's crazy. What about the guy that doesn't know any better. He gets an arcade, Modern Warfare II, and the Wifi adapter because he goes to school or lives with someone and gets his internet via wifi. I know you guys know several ways to get around this and bridge connections or whatever else, but most people don't. ...
Do share or expound on how.
Anyway, to put the troll aside, the game probably doesn't cause RROD. the fact that you play you're 360 so much now that you have the game probably does. Anyone else still shocked that RROD stories are still here?
Sweet. Will be getting that and possibly Flower.
LBP for the PSP is 39.99? Sony, that is way too much money for a PSP game. Even one as big as LBP. PSP games should cost 19.99-29.99 max. 39.99 is what I usually spend on PS3 games.
very true unless MS is providing some sort of incentive (i.e. money) to keep the game exclusive. I think Sony paid to keep MGS4 exclusive forever. Same may've happened here. It's not like MS is frugal when it comes to securing exclusivity and this is perhaps one of the most anticipated 360 games next to Halo Reach. To lose it would be pretty major.
Gamespot has been a lot better as of late. Much more fair than they were a few years back. They're like Edge in that they try to use their whole review scale but unlike Edge in that they don't appear to subtract points off Playstation exclusives for the most nonsensical stuff.
If the MGS Rising were PS3 exclusive would you have a picture of Raiden as your avatar?
maybe not. Great thing is I have that option. It's not forced on me to get online. So I might try it out, see how much I use the premium features, and go from there.
Heck, I'm trying Netflix now just cuz there isn't an initial fee acting as a barrier. All I have to pay is Netflix.
Honestly, I hear the Xbox guys go on and on about party chat and cross-game chat and I don't really get moved to have those features. So I guess we'll have to wait and see exactly what cons...
"Great, now I can watch Batman Begins since I've yet to see it." I go through the hurdle of downloading the player, finding the PS3 code, finally registering my PS3, clicking on the VOD link on my Mac before the screen goes completely dark, setting up a streaming client so I can get the darn file on my PS3, and then after all that I get ready to watch the thing and the quality is akin to what I could've gotten off one of those movie download sites.
You're better off ju...
You let everyone get online and play the game, and then you offer the services that the multi-console owners want for a premimum price (assuming that's what it is).
I have no problem with that so long as I can still get on a game, use my headset, and not get subpar service. And don't make me wait a week for a demo. I figured that steady stream of income would be too much for Sony to pass up. Get that money but don't force the rest of us to pay a fee for services we might not eve...
figured I'd see what all the fuss is about. The TV selection for the instant stream shows looks great. I missed out on Lost, Heroes, and Dexter so having all those shows is going to be great. The movies are kinda lame. I did watch Porkys for the first time last night, but other than that I didn't see much. The Anime selection was decent.
The Netflix site itself is kinda weird. First off it cost 2 bucks extra to get blu-ray movies. Then I went to new releases and didn't really se...
And you have the nerve to accuse others of being a paid employee? You sound like Major Nelson or Aaron Greenberg right now. In fact, I take that back. I don't even think those guys would make such an asinine statement.
Don't get me wrong, Halo Reach will probably impress. But impress to the point that it blows God of War III, GT5, Killzone 2, Uncharted 2, MGS4, and whatever else Sony has coming outta the water so bad that Sony has to drop PS4? Madness.
Well, them saying they have two games that surpass Killzone 2 isn't really saying much considering:
1) Killzone 2 has been out for quite some time now. To say you have something surpasses that but isn't out yet means nothing because,
2) by the time those 2 games drop, Sony will have advanced the envelope again with God of War III, Heavy Rain, and possible Killzone 3.
It'd be like Konami saying it's next Suikoden with no release date is going to blow FFXIII outta the...
Man, and Activision was just talking that good ish a few weeks back about cutting PS3 support. Tell ya what Activision, seeing how you bad you want to turn my living room into a Dave n Busters, and Modern Warfare 2 is so-so to me so far, I kinda would like to call your bluff.
"This thing is just chock full of technology" Tony Hawk describing the skateboard peripheral.
but I guess you could say the same about Sony (and Nintendo) to some extent. You can't ignore all the good things MS did with the 360. Integrated online, mandatory achievements in all games, all the features of Live, headset included, etc etc.
I really hope MS listens to the criticism like Ubisoft did ala Assassin's Creed 2. Next time don't make us buy rechargeable batteries, make sure your hardware has an acceptable failure rate on launch, hard drives should be standard, and for...
didn't really grab me. I'm going to pick it up and try it again. Before I get spammed as a COD loyalist let me say I don't think I like Modern Warfare 2. Some games are cool but for the most part it's a camp fest and the killstreaks are just ridiculous. Some are so bad you can't even go outside.
Really thinking about selling it to get Assassin's Creed 2.
You finally know how to advertise your amazing product! Kudos on the informative yet funny commercials. You're missing that one commercial where the guy/girl wonders how much PSN is and emphasizing that it's free before you achieve an A+ in my book for advertising.
Very funny. Glad to see Sony is looking to dominant this gen.
That's going to bring back memories. One of the best Resident Evil games evarrrrrr
is really really spoiled. This is business. MS set the precedent and Sony, a publicly owned company with shareholders, couldn't pass on this forever. Don't get me wrong, I'd be moaning and groaning if they charged just to get online. But the way it sounds that's not the case. Guys, this is actually a good thing. More revenue for Sony means more money for new projects, ads, better PS3 versions of games, etc.
But trust me, if they take away my ability to do all the things I do now...
