and before my fellow cows flame me, I'm a PS3 owner (PSN ID=Lifendz). At 499, we were right there with the Elite. At 599.00, we're off in 3DO and Neo Geo land. Just too expensive for anyone to justify for a console regardless of whether or not it comes with Motorstorm and 20 extra gigs. 599.00 is just too expensive. Didn't Sony learn this? when there was no mention of Metal Gear. In fact, when he came out in a full suit I knew that he wasn't going to do the whole cheesy tattoo thing again. But hey, they got RE5. Big Whoop. Now you lems can stop with the whole "we're getting MGS4" because you're not...not for awhile anyway. Guess you'll have to pony up the dough for a PS3 if you want the game just like I'll have to get a 360 if I want Halo 3 (which I do).
MS is really doing themselves a disservice by having their killer aps on PC. I mean, why buy a 360 (with all the hardware problems that come with) when I have a PC that can is reliable and allows me to play Gears, Lost Planet, and even Halo. Seems a PC, PS3, Wii combo is the killer lineup. All the great 360 games are multi-plats and the ones that aren't could go over to PS3 or the PC. MS really should have snagged MGS4 but I guess they couldn't.
This is not the final version of the game. Wasn't it like 2 months ago that Lair looked absolutely hideous? Fast forward to today and the game looks stunning; and they still can polish it before it comes out. The game looks amazing now and they haven't put the finishing touches on it. I guarantee when this game comes out it'll be a system seller.
after getting bad ports after bad ports, having a game drought that was almost a year, we're now about to have like 15 killer games coming this year AND Killzone is on the horizon. HOly crap Cows....our time is now!
because you played the game right? Oh wait...you haven't played the game yet have you. So you're pretty much speaking out of your ***. All you lems do is try to find one way to bash this game. First it won't match the trailer and now the gameplay will stink. Just admit it's an impressive looking game and move on. I haven't played Mass Effect or Too Human yet but I can admit both look promising.
Although I'd like it to be UT3, I'd settle for Haze. I know Ubi doesn't want their game to get lost amidst Halo and Killzone is no sure thing, so why not release it on PS3 exclusively. It's definitely Haze.

You know, the Chris Farley movie? There's a great scene where someone says you can put a warranty on something but now all it is a warrantied piece of ****. A product that won't break in the first place is what the people really want. Take Kia and Hyundai, great warranties. But why do they give the warranty? Because the product is going to need it.
but the 3 rings of death happened to 3 of my friends and then I listen to podcasts and they talk about how almost all of the 360s they've had since launch have broke. THese things cost too much money to be breaking. that 3 year warranty is nice but I don't wanna pay 400 plus bucks to wait 2-4 weeks for my console to get fixed. Plus I hate dealing with customer service. So yeah, I had to pass on 360 this gen and I loved my Xbox last time around. Hopefully MS learns from this when they release ...

I agree with you. I had one fanboy tell me it's the fault of people that don't read the manual before operating their 360. I was like, who the **** reads a manual before hooking up a system?
This is bad news for MS. I see some of you are so drunk on the 360 kool-aid that you're willing to stick it out despite having gone through several consoles; but there are a growing number of people who've been debating which system to get and are going to choose PS3 over a console so likely to break. A video of Lair that looks somewhat decent. The stills have been getting better and better but the video had, up until now, caught up. Can't wait to see the final version.
