Seems like this game is going to deserve a rental first. I don't mind a 3.5 install, but I only have so much time to play games with school getting closer and closer to the finals.
65 bucks in this day and age for an inferior product? No thanks. I don't care how you spin it, if it's inferior it's inferior. I wasn't going to get LBP (I don't have internet access for my PS3) but now may I will. It's a shame though cuz I was looking forward to Fallout 3 on PS3.
And BTW, if the difference was slight or negligible, then why mention it? There's no reason to. I mean, you know that people that own both are going to buy the superior version and you know some people ...
"Do you wanna know how I got my scars?"
Day one purchase for me. RIP Heath. Your performance was legendary.
I'm currently w/o internet connectivity for my PS3 so a game with over 150 hours of gameplay (exagerated I know but it's a long game) will keep me busy.
Since I have no internet, it makes no sense to pick up LBP just yet because the bulk of that is going to be checking out what you guys build, building my own levels, etc.
I'm a RPG fan and I really would like to have an RPG.
SO yeah, Oblivion with guns is right up my alley.
and stuff like this will only serve to de-legitimatize sites like Metacritic. I use the big three--IGN, Gamespot (aka biased against Sony.com) and 1up.
Gamespot and IGN both have the game AAA. 1up has yet to give its score.
The game is AAA in my book. Get it.
that was bad. Really bad. Then again if you come to Gears looking for a story you should probably ask yourself why.
with their reviews. You do not give MGS4 an A- and give Motorstorm 2 an A-. I know they're different genres and what not, but you just can't. Bubbles for you.
Try again Senior. If you were talking to me, let me assure you that I am not hydrowhatever. I am on GS and my name there is cyanx73. You'll see in my sig that my PSN is Lifendz which is...drumroll...my username here.
they missed the boat on this. SF4 is closer and than ever and there are games a plenty now. Not to sacrifice quality, but this game should've dropped over the summer.
360 doesn't. /discussion.
your console has the shooters, the action games, and now the RPGs. Heck, I have like no RPGs to play on my PS3 while 360 owners have several to choose from. I still love my PS3 but I have to give MS props for making RPGS a priority and to Peter M for delivering a great game. Wish I could play it.
Is Fallout 3 out yet?
the retail one will be out anyway. Unless you want to hear those "controversial" 2 lines about the Qua ran, it makes no sense to pay that much for the game.
I do. I mean, it's getting AAA scores but I still expected the game to get 10s. These scores are great though. Can't wait to play the game.
Hard to justify but the difference of .05 is really negligible to me. We all know it's better. These reviewers judge a game not just on its own merit but on the point it came out in the systems lifespan. THe original Motorstorm was a launch game (or close to a launch game if it wasn't). Look at Perfect Dark Zero. Got great scores then but would it get those scores today? No. The bar has been raised. Motorstorm 2, the bar has been raised. Burnout, Wipeout, etc...all raised the level of expecta...
no other even gives the PS3 the same pub as the 360 except IGN and a few others.
Thanks for the new episode Hiphopgamer. Perhaps you can get your show on Itunes.
but darn if the AI and driving doesn't get hard as F later on.
I mentioned that in my comment as well. GS is known for being overcritical on Sony exclusives.
then this is a 10 out of 10 on a normal scale. See their Ratchet & Clank review to understand what I'm saying. Great scores for a great game.
that has to be a little disconcerting for MS. You're the cheapest by 200 U.S. dollars, you have the largest library of games, you have these JRPGS, you're constantly taking what was once PS3 exclusives and making them multiplats, and yet you're not crushing Sony like you should be. This is akin to a boxing match where one fighter lands the most devastating blows they can to the other and yet the other is still standing and could actually win if the fight goes to the scorecards.
but if you can spare the cost of a new game, you can buy an HDD that will make installs a worry of the past. I did and now I have more space than I know what to do with. I'm looking for software so I can convert DVDs into MP4 format so I can get some of my fav movies on the PS3. The installs have got to be annoying for those of you with a 20 gib hdd (are there any of you out there?) or with the 60, but, again, if you can spare the cost of a game then I can't see why you wouldn't upgrade.
