I see your point. In those types of situations a games store like GS is needed.
I clicked on the link and it gave a price of 449.00
Ouch. I gave up on it for about a month but, at the urging of a close friend, I picked it up again. Story took off like a runaway train and I was left floored at how good the game got. I tried multiplayer once and just prefered COD4 but I don't think the game was crappy. Underwhelming...probably. Not worth the 10s? Certainly. But crappy...that's a stretch
won't delete it. But still gotta wonder why no trophy support for Resistance 1. I think that would spark sales and get people psyched for R2. But hey, Insomniac makes a quality product so I'm not going to give them a hard time.
that you couldn't get on your own? You're a college student so research is second nature to you. Also, you're a gamer. Do you really need the advice of some employee at Gamestop? I'd guess no. That employee may know more than Grandma at Wal-mart but I sure as heck don't need to ask him anything. In fact, if you frequent N4G on the daily you'll probably know more than the employee at GameStop.
I do see your point about not forgetting about games. Still, it's just wrong for a comp...
bubbles for all above :)
Scary post. I'm like Mr. Frugal and I'm only given so much money to spend on games (laugh if you want but when you're married you'll understand). So this would never happen to me because I keep track of these things.
However, I could see this happening to a lot of people. Wow, I wonder how much money GameStop pockets off of this? I stopped giving them business when I went in to purchase a game and they would reach under the counter and popped...
I really need a laugh right now.
Pictures look sick. Keep justifying my purchase Sony.
seems the majority of Live subscribers are just fine paying for the service. The features of live being the reason why. Good for them. My whole thing is I'm happy with the PSN's level of service, the pace at which it has grown, and the fact that it's free is major (means I get roughly 60 bucks more a year to spend on games that I otherwise wouldn't have).
So to each their own. As long as people are willing to pay for Live then I don't see MS making the service free. Especially w...
anyone know how the common areas will work? Like the areas where everyone goes to lounge around? Obviously, they can't throw you out there with every PS3 owner in that area or it would be chaos so are you only going to interact with people in your town except when you invite a friend or vice versa?
trying to spin the better sales and acclaimed lineup of the PS3 into something else.
LBP was used in a creative way and now that's the only way it can be used? And yeah, a lot of the user created content won't be worth it BUT the 50 levels in the game, the levels made by other devs in the biz, and if there's a way to sort the levels by most popular or Staff Favorites will then there's an easy way to filter out the crap.
Rumors are always proven false around here. And you're hyping it up for something really substantial (like a new environment) but what if it's just some new missions. Maybe a new character to interact with. Is that worth it to you? Maybe if you're a GTA IV fan but I think it would take Vice City to bring the majority of GTA IV players back and to make the PS3 crowd jealous.
You see the posts here. A lot of people here don't even care about GTA IV let alone the DLC.
As a PS3 owner and, obviously, PS3 GTA player, I'm not let down that PS3 isn't getting the DLC; I'm just not that into GTA anymore.
I'm not as down on it as some are. I enjoyed it and actually beat it. I think I was at 80% too. I'm just done with the game. Even when/if the PS3 version gets DLC I wouldn't bother. Game just doesn't have the staying power to keep me interested.
If the DLC was something like Vice City, then yeah, I think I'd be jealous. But for some ex...
I packed my bags and moved out of Liberty City a long time ago. I'm planning to spend some time in Rapture later on this year and possibly see what I can create in LBP.
And I'm not trying to be condescending. I really do hope the DLC is worth it. But, as most of you point out when talking about delays, does it not concern you that nothing has been shown or really outlined as to what the DLC is? I'm not talking rumors or things like that.
Guess I'll pay attention to...
a PSN game?
good stuff
to the gaming youth.
But people wanna wild, smoke cess, drink beer...and aint trying to hear what you kicking in their ear.
HipHopgamer leading the rally of gamers against guys like Thompson. Time for us to fight back. Tired of these guys politicizing games.
I think it's too late in the system's lifespan to pick it up. I see the next MS console coming in the next 2 years. Still, I can see how others would opt for 360 considering the price, quanity and quality of games, etc.
It's always better to let the consumer chose. Just because a game is a classic doesn't mean everyone will like it.
a 10 year lifespan may have just been expanded.
at least not anytime soon. Are retailers going to react well when they're cut out of their take? That's assuming MS and Sony don't kick something back to them.
Not sure if this is something I even want. I like having the option to pick a game up used. Or maybe let a bud borrow a game. And the time involved with downloading a game (and installing it on PS3) is going to be insane.
I hope they follow the Warhawk model and have games on both PSN and in the stores.
