I give A- on 1up and 8.0 on GS. We all know how GS does PS3 exclusives. Even LBP barely got the AAA status (although it probably deserved AAAA).
Go on there and take a look. There are 40gigs going for 299.99. Spread the word.

Sony has a major hit on their hands. I hope its as big a commercial success as it is a critical one.

but Resistance was a launch game. Gears came out a whole year after the 360 launched. Plenty of time to "master the hardware." At above, sorry to hear about your RROD. That and the 50 a year for live is why I probably won't pick up a 360 anytime soon.
Rockstar is out to make money first. Yes they may be able to make a "better" GTA on the PS3 but is that what their shareholders want? That's what you and I want as PS3 owners but their shareholders want profit.
Ignoring the original Xbox wasn't detrimental because it wasn't nearly as successful as the 360. Like I said, that's a hell of a market to ignore and Sony would have to pay a lot to justify the exclusivity. Would an exclusive GTA drive PS3 sales? Absolutely. Doe...
seems like a fairy tale at this point. MS just has too large an install base to ignore and MS has too much money to purchase or at least ensure there is a 360 version of their games. That said, it would be nice to see games I love like GTA built to take advantage of the PS3s strengths.
but the misleading headlines will make his show a tabloid of sorts. Then again maybe he's no different than all the major sites that continue to post headlines about MGS4 coming to 360.
Also, every review is the same with the majority of games getting really high reviews. Not that I'm for a game reviewer to be as overtly negative as some sites are, but the majority of games talked about should not be deemed "incredible."

that's what you need to reclaim Japan. Square Soft took the money and gave MS timed exclusives. The counter is White Knight which is forever exclusive. But it has to be good. I hope it is.
There needs to be more in the way of advertising explaining the benefit of paying more for a PS3 over a 360. Maybe have one of those Ren and Stimpy type ads where little Johnny gets a 360 for 199.99 but slowly realizes all the extra stuff he has to pay for (e.g., Xbox live, an HDD, etc) whereas little Tommy got a PS3 and hasn't had to pay for any of that and mom and dad love the PS3 because they have the latest in hd movie technology.
I'm no marketing guy but something like that...

A music game that's not even current, kung fu panda (utter crap), and Lego Indy are what constitute a good deal. Pardon me as I laugh my @$$ off. You know what's a good bundle? A 360 and Gears plus UT3. Or maybe a 360 a 360 plus Halo 3 and Blue Dragon. Balance the so-so game with a great one. But this bundle..please. Kotaku, you're so biased it makes me laugh. Can't wait to see how they bash PS3 next and praise 360.

The ad from the first game was crazy. I loved the chaotic feel and the soft melodic music.
but I will say that just the other day I had a conversation with a friend about Tekken 6 going multi-plat. He was trying to rub it in my face (being a 360 owner) and I told him that the day of 3rd party exclusives has gone the way of the dinosaur. There are exceptions here and there (e.g., Metal Gear Solid 4, War Devil) but by and large the only exclusive games will be those made in house or published.
Still, I'd rather have Sony's exclusive in-house studios and exclusively published ga...
