for a great game. Maybe the days of the PS3 bias are gone. I'm still surprised at the 1up score but the guy that reviewed the game nitpicked the game to death.
and that game would make a great movie. It would have to be Rated R and I would hope they go for a suspense thriller and not some sort of horror movie.
God of War, with the right budget, could be great but they have the director from Xmen 3 and that movie was god awful.
Gears is another good pick. I'm not sure how I feel about a Halo movie. The aesthetics of the Halo Universe is going to be hard to pull. Perhaps they should go with a CGI style ala Beowulf.
forgive me for sounding like an old timer, but I remember when PSN was nothing but a quasi-web page that you navigated using your controller to move a cursor. Now it's a sleek, fast, and intuitive interface and it's still free. In my day we got hit with firmwares every other week. I'll play R2 and LBP in the meanwhile. Then, when the patch is up for both trophies and the glitches, I can probably get the game used off Ebay for a fraction of the cost. Bethesda loses out on the full price retail purchase and somebody that is tired of Fallout gets my money. Win Win.

Gamepro is usually very giving with their review scores. Surprised to see them knock the game down to a 4 when it has so much going for it. Oh well, good score and I'm picking it up regardless.

if Devs can achieve that, and start to lead for a system with a standard HDD, then maybe this is true. But you're right in that you can't trust PR people. His job is dependent upon him selling systems. Hard not to be bias under those circumstances.
I'm a PS3 owner and I love my PS3 but I have to admit that the screenshots for Gears 2 are just phenomenal. The game looks great and I'm sure it's going to do well.
Direct comparisions to R2 are going to come and I'm sure we'll all agree that they're good games but R2 is not on the same visual level as Gears 2.
Killzone 2, however, is going to be a much better opponent against Gears 2 in the graphics category.

I was in China Town last year and came across FFVII for the PS1 in the original casing and still shrinkwrapped. I couldn't believe it. I picked it up for a mere 20 bucks and have it to this day. I looked on Ebay and this is a collectors item. I almost want to open it to see the artwork and take myself back to when I first got the game but I just can't bring myself to do it.

That's why they haven't lowered the price. They need to earn a profit. Yeah a lot of people are going to opt for 360 now that it's 199, but I still think a good number of people will choose PS3. After all, 360 isn't exactly blowing PS3 out of the water even with the 199 price tag. Sony will turn a profit, R2 and LBP will sell through the roof, and hopefully all these gloom and doom Sony is done articles will go away.
if there never was a 360 version they would've given this game a 7.5. GS, you fail as an unbiased Game reviewer. 1up and IGN are the wonder twins. There is no longer a Trifecta. In fact, I give the hiphopgamer more credibility than I do your reviews.
