what essentially was a IW's engine with WWII skins on it. I might've picked it up but R2 online is so much fun and I just got LBP that I won't have the time. AAA score is impressive though. And the dogs being sent rather than the helicopter is crazy fun.
an established franchise defeated a new IP? Kudos I guess.
oh, and LBP was made with a team of 25 people. The budget on the game was nowhere near what Gears 2's. Sony will probably make a nice little bundle off the game.
for a game like this. No one would expect it to be AA. It looks like the cartoon....I mean just like the cartoon....and if you're a Naruto fan you were going to cop it anyway.

the Gears 2 campaign was long. Much longer than the last game.
not a victim at all. I bought the game and am enjoying it. Just saying if you're going to hold one game to a standard it's only fair to hold another to the same standard. There are exceptions out there and I'm not proffering this as a perfect standard...but in this particular instance we're talking two big budget AAA games (or at least hyped that way). To say one should be X but the other only has to be W in terms of quality in any one area is sort of bogus.
R2 has to be so much better than anything Gears 2 puts out. Gears has no story, people are fine with it. R2 tries to give a story, people slam it for not giving a story on the level of the Godfather. Gears gives you weapons before you'll need them, it's cool. R2 does that, it's horrible.
It's an FPS people. Yes Bioshock and Half life 2 took this genre to a new level in terms of story telling but if you have to be consistent. Slam both for the same if they both have the same flaws...
hard to be upset now considering this DLC will drop long after anyone even cares about GTA IV anymore. Only the diehard fans will get this. Hardly justifies a 50 million dollar price tag. Not like MS doesn't have the money to spend but maybe this is one of many reasons why Peter Moore was fired.
seems like Sony is really starting to come with the thunder. A little more detail in the characters' faces and the game could really be something special....at least visually.

and I'm glad the reviewers aren't trying to lower the score on small things. AAA game that will sell well. I haven't even seen any ads for it this time. I guess they don't need to advertise the guy.
I get Wifi from my school and it takes a day to download a demo. I'd probably be downloading for a month to get 5 movies.
360 did okay in Japan but it's hardly there to stay. People bought it for one game and one game only. You think anyone over there is going to buy the 360 version of a game like Final Fantasy? What about versus? They can't even play that on 360. ONce the PS3 releases its RPGS (e.g. White Knight) then it's over.
