Horde mode is just flat out fun. The tension of having to get ammo before the enemies spawn back is incredible. I love it. But the multiplayer mode is kinda broken. You have to wait a really really long time just to get a match going. WTF is that about? They couldn't get dedicated servers for a game of Gears 2's magnitude? That's Bull.

if it's not content that should've been in the game in the first placae (e.g. Tomb Raider). And I find it hard to believe that Square won't have DLC when they were so scared that they wouldn't recoup what they spent to make the game that they made it multi-plat. Expect DLC for this within at least a year after launch.
I sold my PS1 disc like 6 months back for 40 bucks on Ebay. Now I can buy it back for 5.99. But we all know it's game over when Square allows Sony to release FFVII. Honestly, I'd like FFIII (the U.S. FFIII) to be released on PSN. That one was probably my all time fav.

it's too much. I know the game is awesome. At this point I'm just trying to dodge spoilers. It looks incredible when it's being recorded with a digital cam. I mean, that's just insane. The only other game that looked like that, in my opinion, was Gears 2. This game is going to reclaim the graphical crown for Sony (if you think they lost it to begin with).
Oh, and with Uncharted, Heavy Rain, and GOWIII I think it's safe to say that PS3 is the most powerful system.

I swear every time I think about picking up a 360 it seems something like this pops up on here OR someone I know loses their 360 to RROD.

I own a PS3 and it's not even the same system it was when I first got it in March of 07.
I upp'd the HDD, got a 1080p tv, and the games have jumped leaps and bounds.

I never experienced such an outright desire on the part of the media and gamers to see a company fail. What the F is going on? Even when 360's were breaking left and right there wasn't this level of criticism. When Nintendo basically said "the heck with hardcore games, we're going to take that gamecube and make it casual," no one was as angry as it seems people are at the PS3.

I may be biased because I never played MGS3 * runs away * and 4 was the most recent, but the gameplay, the cutscenes, the graphics, the twists....man that was a great game. I put it in my top five of all time.
Once it gets Trophy Support I'll be right back in for my second play through.
MS moved a substantial amount of units for Gears 2 and Sony didn't sell as many units for LBP and R2 as I expected they would. But neither side is going anywhere for a while and as gamers I think we should all be happy with that. I mean, would you really want to live in a world where either Sony or MS only had to worry about Nintendo as the competition? We could see all kinds of crazy prices, initiatives or, even worse, a move to the casual side altogether.

with so many negative articles about the PS3 and how Sony is going down in flames, I saw this and just had to let my fellow PS3 owners know the situation is not as dire as some would like us to believe.
EDIT: To the guys reporting the article, I put this in the 360 section as well as the Wii section because the news pertains to sales of ALL the consoles out. It's not just PS3 news. Just because it's not news you may want to read, it is still news that pertains to your console.
it's like ten blu-ray is dead and the PS3 is dying articles per hour and yet I read at least one of these a week that shows the format is doing just fine. I bet if this was HD-DVD people wouldn't be talking about how it's declining.
Blu-ray is fine. The difference between it and DVD is great for those of us that have an HDtv.
