CE will always be more impactful and influential, but I think Reach is the better game overall.
It just offers a staggering amount of quality content that will only grow as the community pumps out more maps and game types.
The earlier shots for TLG showed a more colorful art direction, while these are make more heavy use of greys and low color saturation.
I love the look of SoTC, but I do hope TLG still uses a higher color contrast overall, as the earlier media displayed.
Yes, now you can. Yesterday there was no video on this page and so it required a clickout.

As of right now...
Anti-360 / PS3 defenders: 15
Anti-PS3 / 360 defenders: 5
So that should tell you that the proportion of fanboys (which you would have to be to engage in this debate seriously) on N4G is approximated 3 Sony fanboys for every 1 MS fanboy.
Now we are all the wiser. Wonderful. /sarcasm
For approving this type of shameless "who do you hate the most!" hit-whoring drivel.
OK, whether or not you like this, that promotional video was the most awesome promo vid ever.
This site is obviously just seeking hits, but N4G doesn't look much better when they approve spam like this as being "news".
Apparently it's not just TechVoo that will do anything for a little attention...
It's Square Enix doing this, not MS.
The 360 has sold about 1.4 million units in Japan - a small number compared to the PS3's 5 million+, but still apparently high enough to make a profit off the port.
Anyways, since when is it a bad thing to support a smaller market niche? Catering only to the broadest demographic is why so many games get dumbed down for casuals these days...
Totally agree. Such an atmospheric (and underrated) game. If they improve the AI in the sequel it will be amazing.
Are two things that just don't go together. I won't complain as long as we get a lengthy and worthwhile single-player campaign, but this just seems like such a "corporate bullet-point" decision to tack onto a game like Dead Space.
Already preordered. Finally a horror game that isn't an action game in disguise! Can't wait to turn out the lights, put on some headphones, and get totally creeped out :)
Since GT isn't really about crashing, it'd be nice if we had the option to simply turn it off. As is, it looks bad enough to be distracting.
The first game had a good amount of side quests (about 100), although granted some of them were extremely simple. Some only open up if you are take the good or evil path, etc.
In addition, there were collectible items like blast shards and dead drops scattered around the map (think flags or feathers in Assassin's Creed).
It's a big market with a lot of people spending a lot of money. We may like to argue over who is "winning" the console war (or at least some of us do...), but the fact is that a company can survive just fine even if they don't hold a majority of the market share. You can "lose" and still make a nice profit (ex: just because the DS sells more than the PSP doesn't mean that the PSP isn't profitable).
For instance, Google may hold 70% of the...
Gah, I need to actually beat a Persona game...
I own both P3(FES) and P4, but despite the countless hours I've sunk into them, I have yet to actually finish either. You can lose a big chunk of your life in those games :)
The DS3 was $54.95 at launch.
Similarly, I'm sure this controller will drop in price before long. And I agree that MS would be dumb not to pack it in with future releases of the redesigned 360.
What I like from the controller is that the d-pad actually seems less 'slidy'. That was always my real problem, not so much the shape of disk vs cross.
To be fair, the article actually contradicts itself. In the 3rd paragraph, it says:
"Gearbox hopes to release the game next year."
and then in the last paragraph:
"The game is currently expected to ship in 2010"
Probably a typo by the article's author. 2011 is much more likely.
Gearbox is the only reason I have hope for this game.
I had given up on the Duke and become rather apathetic to the franchise altogether, but a quality developer like Gearbox may just be enough to revitalize the series.
...only downside is that this means we'll probably have to wait longer for Aliens: Colonial Marines.

This was honestly a really weak review. He relates the story to a rerun of Star Trek? And it's cliche because you know how the war ends?
It's a war story. And for a (fictional) war story, it's one of the best ones in a video game yet. Everyone gushed all over themselves about COD4's narrative, and yet the characters were definitely less fleshed out than here.
What's cliche is the "get it for the multiplayer" dail-in review.
