The article is basically correct, with the caveat: *At the graphic fidelity that gamers want* full HD 3D is not possible on this generation of consoles.
And honestly, instead of using all that extra processing muscle to double-render the world, I think most of us would simply prefer better-looking 2D visuals.
Graphics engines continue to get optimized, and ambitious developers will keep pushing the boundaries, so this should come as a no-brainer. And we're still only seeing the first-gen of engines like Crytech 3 and id tech 5. If those engines take, we can expect improved revisions the same way UE3 has improved over the years (on all consoles).
Looks more interesting to me right now thanks to the stealth emphasis, but I really want more info on the actual campaign for Medal of Honor. Might pick up both.
Regardless, I'll probably be playing more Reach than anything else for the next year by far, although I'm sure Killzone 3, Rage and Crysis 2 will distract me at least momentarily.

Is what Fable needs. Seriously, I understand that Molyneux wants to keep it simple, but it's just clunky having to attack and defend with the same button, and it stunts the pace of the action.
But there are so many throwbacks to outdated game design. Why does the HUD have to take up the whole right side of the screen? Why do my enemies have visible health bars, with the big ones taking a 50 clips of ammo to kill (as the E3 boss battle showed)?
It looks intense, and I love the sliding mechanic, but some of the design choices leave me wondering if it will actually be fun after the intial rush wears off.
Sure, some of the hate will be overblown, but amidst the paranoia there are also fans with real and legitimate concerns regarding the changes and 'streamlining'.
Just as not everything about the changes from, say, Morrowind to Oblivion was good. I find it embarassing that there are people out there who think Heavy Rain's plot was good. Sadly, that says a lot about gamers. Have these people ever read a novel, or even watched a decent film?
It's nice that HR is trying to do something new with the medium, and I respect the goals of the creators in that sense, but the game's terrible story didn't do it (or us) any favors.

It's impressive that these are first generation visuals. What we see on the 3DS will only better as devs get more experienced with the hardware.
I love how the fanboys act like there's a huge difference. Yes, KZ3 will look a bit better, but it's the same engine with minor tweaks. Otherwise there would be no way we'd get a sequel so soon. The visual upgrades are like the upgrades from Gears 1 to Gears 2, etc.

People are going to buy the console that most of their friends have, so that they can play online with those friends. If most of your buddies are playing MW2 on Live, you're more likely to get the console that allows you to play online with them.
