Does anyone use just 1 search engine all the time?

Google is my go-to, but I often use Bing and Yahoo also when I need different results or am just trying to get as much info as possible.

All the major engines add value to end users, and it doesn't make sense to have some kind of religiously devout loyalty to just one.

I did enjoy the read, but I think it treats the subject of having a new world to explore too lightly. Frankly, having a virtual space that's actually worth exploring is reason enough for me to enjoy a game (provided the rest isn't broken).

The fact is, even if there was a "perfect" gameplay experience offered by a title, sooner or later you would tire of the scenery and crave a new place to explore. At least I know I would.

You can argue...

Well what's the one complaint that you can have leveled at your game and still score a 9+ out of 10 by most reviewers?

It's: The game is a little too easy.

When you play games everyday for a living, a serious challenege is often the last thing you want, and I think developers are starting to catch on to this. Easier games score better, and are more likely to have their other faults overlooked by critics.

And Rockstar continues to show how DLC should be done.

After actually reading the article, all I can say is the author must ride the short bus...

The straight-forward plot wasn't hard to grasp in the least, and that the characters are subtle rather than overdone with anime-soap-opera backstories is a GOOD thing. It's a war story, and I for one am glad for the lack of sappy drama.

I don't get why people wanted or expected Reach to be War and Peace...

lol. It's too bad the AI was so bad in Black. Pretty fun game otherwise.

Yeah, I don't think anything will ever top the SNES for me, although the PS2 was pretty great. Still, many of my favorite games from that gen were actually on the GameCube.

Pachter DISMISSED speculation about Apple buying out Sony, etc.

"According to Pachter, the iPhone maker would be smarter to stick to what it does best - namely entertainment companies such as Netflix rather than full-blown video game publishers."

After the glowing reviews they gave for GoW3, MGS4 and Uncharted 2, etc, Kotaku is totally biased.

Fanboys these days....

For a map pack, that was a pretty awesome trailer. Bungie sure knows how to keep their games fun.

XIII wasn't the worst FF, nor the best.

It gets a lot of hate for its changes (and from conspiracy nutcase fanboys who think its core design was totally transformed by going multiplatform), but in the end it wasn't a bad game, just not at the level of the top entries in the series.

SE has been getting all "experimental" with a lot of their games in recent years, minus their new cash cow Dragon Quest, but hopefully the fan reaction will e...

But Beth is using an updated Gamebryo for their next game. This was revealed back at QuakeCon. If they had waited until after the iD deal, we'd probably be waiting another 4 years for TESV, so quit complaining.

Even with the same engine, I expect we'll see significant improvements.

Yep, it's over. Hardcore gaming is dead now. Pack it up folks, nothing left to see here.

My biggest beef with AC2 was simply the inability to replay story missions.

My friend's granfather had his eyes gouged out by Che's men for writing a newspaper article that was critical about him (he was a journalist, and Che wasn't exactly a fan of "freedom of the press"). I'm sure he wouldn't mind the target.

This or Modern Warfare 2.

The article is taking a rather subjective take on "most anticipated". The only truly measurable degree of how anticipated games are is preorders or first week sales.

A lot of people tend to rank anticipation as a personal matter - which game is your favorite, etc. - but it's initial sales, plain and simple, that is the only objective measure. If (a lot of) people are genuinely anticipating a game, they part with the...
