That might fit Bioware's track record *before EA*, but not anymore. If DA2 sells, you can bet they will pump out more (which honestly is fine with me as long as they keep up the quality).
Good review. The TE seems like a great alternative to the standard 360 pad.
Well, they do have one big new IP on the way thanks to the Bungie publishing deal.
Bungie is in a much better position though, since they maintain autonomy and can't be gutted at Activision's whim.
2nd video seems to show a firefight map :)
I really wish the main dude didn't look like the fantasy equivalent of a bald space marine.
I think it still looks fun, but the lack of split-screen makes it a hard sell for me.
Great news, but please, finish Aliens: Colonial Marines first. I want to play that game before 2020...
Agreed. This is actually an intelligent piece on the subject, rather than the reactionary cries of "Faux Newz" that just make gamers look more immature.
Hehe, that you think those LA Noire clips must be cut scenes should say enough.
As anyone who's followed the development of that game can tell you, they're not. That *is* what the facial animation looks like in-game. Heck, they've put out whole video documentaries on it, and it's pretty amazing.
Actually, Pete Hines confirmed in a tweet that all the current screens are from the 360 build. (PC screens would likely have more AA)
Killzone 3 will likely cut into those sales, and frankly Halo: Reach is probably to blame Black Ops not selling even more on the 360 last year.
This Fall is going to be insane.
I'm all for a remake of Halo 1, but this holiday season seems too soon. And after playing Reach, it's going to be hard going back to no armor abilities (hopefully they at least include sprinting).
Technically, there are still weapon skills. 'Blade' and 'blunt' have simply been replaced with 'one-handed' and 'two-handed'.
What's different is that perks are unlocked and chosen as you level-up, Fallout style, rather than the Oblivion-style perks that unlocked automatically when your blade skill hit 25/50/75/100 etc.
It would no longer be Crysis. However, a 1st-person RPG with cryengine 3 = win.
HL2 = Adventure Shooter like Bioshock or Metro.
KZ3 = War Shooter like COD or Halo.
The FPS genre has diversified over the years, and these two games are honestly so different in design that direct comparisons don't really make sense.
You're all wrong!
The Future of Gaming (TM) is with the SNES!
Yeah, the fairly large HUD elements also make it look like this is definitely for a handheld.
I'm pretty sure Skyrim will push the boundaries for *any* game, multiplatform or not.
Bethesda is nothing if not ambitious.
Hehe, we all knew Jeff was pumped for LBP2. Glad to see it lived up to his expectations.
Yeah, that's what I would like to see also. Plus, an old-English style trech coat adapted to the assassin look (add a hood, etc.) would make for a pretty slick outfit :)
