This is from ***2009***
Don't know why it's getting posted again, although from the responses it seems sensitive people are still able to get butthurt over it.
@MitchGE
Yeah, I noticed that slip up as well, especially considering I *owned* a physical copy of Warhawk the day it was released... It was never just a PSN release.
In any case, it's cool to hear that they're adding a single player campaign.
I definitely expect bigger things from Diablo 3, although I'm sure DS3 will be fun as well.
Still, Torchlight 2 is my most anticipated in the near-term, seeing as the "home stretch" for Blizzard may still mean quite a while.
In any case, it's a good time to be a fan of dungeon crawlers.
Team Bondi can blow me....away with the quality of their story telling.
The art has some 'Burtman' vibes, but the ingame screens still look more like a refined AA.
Yeah, it's definitely on my buy list as well, although with Skyrim, Uncharted 3, Mass Effect 3 and who knows what else hitting in November, it'll definitely be a hard month on my wallet.
(there's no way in heck that I'm putting Skyrim off)
Just speculation. In fact I beleive Ubi said something earlier about Far Cry 3 not coming before 2012.
A "power trip" in a game world only feels worthwhile if the characters you have power over behave like actual people. Prototype 2 will need massively improved AI for any of that potential to matter.
I hope the devs understand that it's not just about how many ridiculously lethal moves you can pull off...
Agreed. Personally, I'd love to see a few less jump-out-at-you scares (as those tend to get predictable after a while), and more haunting, subtle creepiness in the next installment.
Sometimes just a shadow or a whisper in the dark is scarier than "monster jumps out of the vent again".
I'm sure both Skyrim and Portal 2 (and Uncharted 3, and Battlefield 3...) will win GOTY from *somebody*. It's not like there's a single authority giving out such awards.
Seems they're critical of the game for lack of 'innovation', which is typically one of those things that some games get a total pass for (CoD), while with other games like this it's suddenly an issue...
Sure, this game may draw elements from others like Tribes and Halo, but it still delivers a very solid and fun experience, especially for $15.
LOL, guess I was a little off there. Thanks for the catch.
Agreed, especially since Amazon has been shortening the time you can use their preoder credit lately.
Case in point: Portal 2 preorder credit must be used by April 30th. Sucks for those who were hoping to use it on LA Noire or Brink (like me). Maybe I'll shop Kmart instead.
Wow, I was execting an improvement over the original, but not this big of one. That's some high praise. Will definitely have to check this out.
Whether or not it should be called Prey 2, the whole open-world alien Blade Runner vibe just sounds like something I want to play.
Character models definitely look massively improved. Can't wait to see some Argonians!
Luckily you can opt out. Somehow I don't think my facebook friends are dying to know how I'm doing in Uncharted 3.
Agreed. Just judging from that opening paragraph:
"Torchlight is an action role-playing game, and to my fickle mind, that means one thing. Creating a character. Whenever a game like this comes out, I most often spend several hours before I've even started playing a game crafting every part of my character to perfection..."
Apparently he must have hated Diablo as well. Since when are action-RPGs about super-deep character creation? They'r...
Oh, the horror!
...seems more like self punishment to me.
Looks great. The Amnesia engine is just awesome for survival horror games. Hope we don't have to wait too long to try this out.
