A healthy sum indeed! Why that's... *holds pinky finger to mouth* One Miiiillion Kilobytes!
He may not have been dead, but he's definitely been in a coma. Time to wake up Gordon!
Revelations is what most interests me out of the new RE titles, being that it's a new game that actually looks somewhat focused on scares rather than constant shooting. Doesn't hurt that it also looks great for a 3DS title.
Yep, split screen was confirmed on Bethesda's blog. That alone puts this back on my radar.
I usually get 1st-person multiplatform titles for 360, but I'll be making an exception this time. That Steam deal is too good to pass up.
Honestly, even if their lineup was only Skyrim (which it's not), I would still consider it an amazingly awesome lineup.
I'm glad Valve is supporting the PS3 as well, but good lord man, Sony is just a corporation. As long as they get your money, Sony doesn't care whether you live or die...
This is actually the 4th time this video has been posted.
It no longer matters who's "winning".
If you're a 3rd party, you're going to support both platforms, because both of them have a large enough install base to make it worth your while.
It's sad to think that there's a whole generation of people for whom WarCraft is known only as an MMO. WC2 & 3 are both classics, with WC2 in particular being the game that got me into the genre. Vintage Blizzard.
It's the same issue: the lighting. The 360 looks to have higher contrast (and possibly more bloom).
The result is that in certain scenes the details will look hidden thanks to darker shadows, etc., while those details will be more visible on the PS3 version with less dramatic contrast, as seen here.
By the same token, this will lead to complaints over the PS3 version's lighting looking "flat" in other scenes, as some complained about in...
Strange as this sounds, I much prefer Konami experimenting with a multiplayer title for XBLA than them trying to tack on a multiplayer mode to a main entry in the series like Downpour.
They're certainly more ethical than Google - scraping content from other providers and monetizing it for their verticals with no reimbursement to the content creators, while tanking them in the search results if they object, etc.
Google left behind "don't be evil" years ago. They're by far the biggest offender in the tech space. They know it, and they don't care, because any lawsuit will be tied up in court for so long that they will already have m...
Nice interview. I wonder what other types of goo they've got up their sleeves :) Both that and the co-op sound awesome!
Kaos is throwing away money by ignoring singleplayer gamers.
The buzz in the industry may be all about multiplayer, but a huge percent of gamers still care first and foremost about the campaign. That's probably 50% of their sales that they are leaving by the wayside by focusing so little on the singleplayer experience.
A while back Bethesda did a special where all Oblivion DLC was half off, everything except for horse armor - that was double price :)
It's worth noting that the stock market is down considerably in general right now.
As such, attributing the total degree of this drop in THQ's stock price to Homefront's performance may be misleading.
Just look at the Dow Jones 5-day:

Eh, this isn't that bad at all.
Unlike Yakuza 3, it doesn't look like a 10 minute photoshop job, and the art actually communicates what to expect from the game.
This is a day one purchase for me, but I hope there's an option to tone down the object highlighting. The neon outlines even on objects you aren't currently pointing at is a bit much.
This is awesome news. Now just give a release date!
