@Nuka
"I always assumed HD files were larger than SD files upscaled unless I am missing something. I am still sure the detail could be vastly improved by having more data space."
You do realize that in order to actually display those files you need to load them into RAM, right? You could have a super high-res 5 GB texture file, but since the console only has 512 MB of memory, you could never actually display it on screen.

They should just aim to make a good game, rather than worrying about metacritic.
Deliver a quality experience and the scores will follow.
Gears comparisons are fine, just so long as the game getting compared to Gears is actually good.
Hunted definitely has my attention, especially with splitscreen co-op. If it plays well and doesn't suffer from a 4-hour campaign, I can see myself picking it up.
No surprise. Texas is the #1 most common state for new businesses to move to. Has been for several years now. But somehow I think it has less to do with the appeal of a "liberal out-all-night party town like Austin" and more to do with the state's business-friendly tax laws...
This probably means that the new male party member is gay or bi. And/or they retconned previously hetero characters and turned them gay/bi...
It's one of the screens leaked by Kotaku.
They were all very early shots (likely pre-alpha, with big, obvious chunks of the background assets missing and no lighting filters, etc.), but it's probably safe to assume that the actual gun models are pretty close to what they will look like in the final game.
That said, you can take similar screenshots of most *any* shooter and say they all look the same (especially when the very same gun is being held...
Care to elaborate on what was so "not Silent Hill" about it?
From all the interviews, these devs seem to really have a good grasp on the heart of the series. Yes, they're bringing in some modern touches with the new camera angles, etc., but I think it's a little ridiculous to write the game off already.
I really hope this is true, and moreover that we get a disk release and not just over PSN.
Honestly, more portable games should get the HD-remastered treatment (Peace Walker, anyone?).
@stealth500k
I'm being realistic about what SE will probably focus on promoting. E3 caters more to the west, while the games you mentioned are more likely to be featured at the Tokyo Game Show.
And I don't see any reason why those should be small potatoes. If you seriously think another Kingdom Hearts spinoff is something to get really excited over, well ok, but Thief 4 sounds much more enticing to me.
Furthermore, when you'...
They'll be there to promote the games developed by the non-Japanese studios they own, such as Eidos.
Expect more Deus Ex footage, some Tomb Raider, and maybe the first Thief 4 trailer.
Eh, I can live with most of those.
It's the recycled dungeons and poor enemy AI (wave after wave of the same old cannon fodder grunts) that really kill it for me. I suppose I could play through it again, but it's just more fun replaying Origins.
Yeah, it keeps looking better. Might be a nice surprise for co-op fans.
While I like BiA, I'd be more interested in Gearbox finishing up Aliens: Colonial Marines and announcing Borderlands 2.
As if we'll get a choice.
1st thing = firmware update
It would take a whole lot for Skyrim not to be my GOTY, even with all the promising other titles being released.
No other single player series is as ambitious as Elder Scrolls, and it seems like Bethesda has really listened to the fans and is fixing most of Oblivion's shortcomings.
"Of course, the pre-orders are only applicable in European countries."
Damn.
I really like the cinematic angles their going for, but plot-wise I really hope the enemy isn't generic Russian terrorists/nationalists/separa tists.
These are fighter jets we're talking about. For modern models, costs can easily rise into the billions, and simply maintaining them takes massive resources. You can't hide jets under a rock, either.
Exactly. If only every preorder incentive was this awesome...
Not sure how I feel about this. It's not like the previous games had a huge, impersonal cast. Why not just make the game longer so as to keep a good number of companions and flesh them all out?
More customization would definitely help, although they were basically just an instant win button, and that in a game which was already pretty easy.
Personally, I think they really need to beef up the enemy AI before worrying about making Ezio *even more* deadly...
