Awesome trailer. They've had preview events where they gave the previewers a wopping 10 hours to play, and the impressions were pretty glowing across the board. That's not something you do if your game is lacking polish, so I'm not really worried. This game will deliver.
GX was a masterpiece. Great visuals and intense racing with a learning curve that really tested you to become better, plus a ton of unlocks and awesome music. Definitely one of the best arcade racers ever.
I doubt it. This isn't a pay gate for playing online, it's simply enhanced stats and community tools. You'd have to have a *really* large and dedicated community for a publisher to make it work. Expecting every other shooter to follow suit just isn't realistic.
With smaller communities, a publisher would likely make more money just selling DLC, as they already do now.
This doesn't bother me so long as the core game still ships with the same amount of content on the disk. It's really no different from charging for map packs or DLC.
There are people that only buy 1 game - Call of Duty - and play it all year long.
For them, this may be perfectly reasonable. They're not going to spend the cash on other games anyways, because they have no interest in them. No skin off my back.
Big video. A bunch of gameplay starts around the 16 minute mark, capped off by the trailer we've already seen at about 29 minutes.
Chase may say that, but in truth he totally IS going to play the game in slow motion. Don't fall for his clever ruse!
On topic: Whatever else may be said about the game, swiming through the sunken subway looks awesome.
The mission editor sounds awesome. Very rare to see in this type of game.
Now if we could just edit costumes and give Cole a cooler looking weapon than the giant tuning fork.
I'd love for a product I invented to "fail" like the Wii...
Yeah, the minds behind most of Rare's classics were already gone before MS made the purchase.
Too bad, as that was one heck of a team, but like other legendary developers that died off (Black Isle, Looking Glass Studios...), they're just a fond memory now, although I'm sure some of the members are off doing their own new things.
Yeah, it definitely looks good, especially if the rumors of a longer campaign are more than just empty promises.
That said, I hope we get some non-urban environments as well, and also that the action is well paced, with some good stealth sections, etc.
One of the weak points of the Treyarch games tends to be poor pacing, with all explosions and little in the way of balanced peaks and valleys. Granted, MW2 suffered from this also, so hopefuly IW can recapt...
It would definitely make sense, and I for one would buy it day 1.
That said, I do hope they at least revamp the controls to take advantage of having two analog sticks.
Yeah, this was in the interview that's already been posted here twice.
We may have to wait for E3 to get any actually new info. Can't wait for some Skyrim gameplay!
Riddick was awesome, but some of the choices on this list were a little random. Several games from franchises such as Aliens, Star Treck, Lord of the Rings and others deserve a spot more than Home Alone. Heck, I'd even pick the NES Gremlins 2 game over it.
Cole needs to remember to aim for the limbs when fighting those necromorphs. Maybe he could use his powers to create a lightning plasma cutter.
Sever their limbs, Cole! It's the fastest way to kill them!
The gore in DS2 is honestly so over the top that it's comical. With the exception of a few key scenes, you're more likely to laugh than to wince.
Honestly, MS needs a new *non-Halo* reveal, and I say that as a fan of the series. Reach is still enough to keep me busy for a while.
I'm pretty sure both XBL and PSN releases are already planned.
It's not an ideal. It's a devotion.
People can be devoted to almost anything, be it a religion, a nation, a consumer product, or another person.
Fanboyism is simply absurd because the object of that devotion is something that, in the greater scheme of things, isn't all that important. So you like game X and someone else likes game Y? There are people with real problems out there. If you're going to get that heated up over your preferred fo...
Generic? They're going for hyper-realism, not stylized art.
Are you being serious or joking? The guy has:
- praised Sony's handling of the PSN hack
- been a vocal fan of Sony's innovative series like Little Big Planet
- repeatedly said that Sony has the best exclusive lineup recently
- voiced his preference for playing many multiplats on PS3
Seriously, take off your fanboy goggles. Yes, he praises the sales numbers for products like Kinect, because he's an ANALYST. If you bas...
