Awesome. And while I'm glad for the option of subs, I can actually see myself playing with these english voices. They're a little campy, but not terribly annoying. Nowhere near as bad as, say, Star Ocean 4...

I agree that they will most likely not delay Skyrim, but as for Bethesda never missing its dates, your facts are a little off.

Oblivion received almost a year's worth of delays and Fallout 3 was pushed back about a month. Bethesda is actually kind of infamous for delays...

Also the last several Popes have been very well versed in science (vocal supporters of evolution, etc.) :)

Hope there will be splitscreen, although I won't hold my breath given how much frostbite 2 is pushing the envelope...

I'd say The Witcher 2 is already pretty "next gen" if your rig has the muscle to max it out.

Every copy will have a normal map as was included with Oblivion.

Preorders will simply be upgraded to a premium quality map made from burlap paper.

Also, people who preorder don't "pay more". It's the same price as buying the game new (sometimes less with Amazon) unless you wait for a price drop or a used copy.

Agreed. Thief 1 & 2 are still the best hardcore stealth (read: not action-stealth) games ever to grace the market.

Along with survival horror games, stealth games have seen the worst "mainstreaming" of any genre this gen. Today's devs are way too obsessed with "player empowerment", shunning a feeling a vulnerability and instead making stealth games for the Call of Duty crowd...

I'd say the lack of Fire Emblem is a glaring omission.

Also Castlevania: Aria of Sorrow.

Yeah, that the DLC will be "closer to an expansion" is awesome news.

Shivering Isles was larger than most full priced games, and it's good to know that we'll be getting something closer to that rather than Fallout-style DLC.

Not to mention one is focused on single-player and the other on multiplayer.

I have no doubt Rage will feature a longer and more fully fleshed out campaign, while it's the multiplayer that will be center stage in Battlefield 3.

The acrobatics skill is gone, but I believe one of the interviews hinted at a highjump spell.

There's nothing wrong or "evil" about securing exclusive content, and again, you don't seem to be complaining about other companies doing the same.

Did you post a similar rant about PS3 timed-exlusive content in LA: Noire? Did the inclusion of a playable Joker in the PS3 version of Arkham Asylum cause you to call Rocksteady "douchebags" or lash out at Sony for their evil "payoffs"?

There's something called a doubl...

Abilities like this and all the talk about "empowerment" pretty much killed most of my anticipation for the game.

Sure, you don't have to use these "instincts", but just like mark and execute in SC: Conviction, the developers design the game with these elements in mind.

Absolution may make for a decent stealth-action game, but everything points towards the 'action' half of the equation being the real focus...

LOL, anyone who goes on an "I'm not a fanboy" defensive rant like that is definitely butthurt.

I'm not going to attack your age (I'm 31 myself), as age and maturity don't always correlate, but I must wonder what you're smoking if you think "M$" is buying up too many exclusives. Most logical people seem to think they need more. And I don't see you whining about any other companies securing exclusives, so why the tears?

So any developer whose game isn't multiplatform is a douchebag now?

Sounds like somebody's feeling butthurt...

The first game has sold 1.5 million so far, not even counting the upcoming PS3 version, so that's not an unrealistic number at all, especially considering that the sequel looks a lot more promising.

I'm fairly interested myself despite passing on the original. Can always use more stealth in my FPS's, so if the gameplay delivers, I'll pick up a copy.

In the interviews they talked a lot about "player empowerment", making you feel more deadly, taking away penalties for failure, etc.

Basically, it's a lot of the same thinking that went into Splinter Cell: Conviction, so if you liked Hitman for the stealth and feeling of actual vulnerability, I can understand the concerns.

Action seems to be front-and-center this time around.

"In real trouble"?

Somehow I think Bobby Kotick will be ok. Battlefield 3 isn't goint to make his bank account evaporate and leave him homeless on the street.

If by "real trouble" you mean a few less million, well, I wouldn't mind having a little of that "trouble" myself...

And it was the same for Oblivion and Fallout 3 (as if it wasn't obvious by the UI), so no surprise here. Mods will fix any console holdovers.
