Car chases + on-foot quick time events. The Run didn't look bad, but there wasn't enough wow factor for it to get a GOTS nomination.
And as far as a 90+ metascore, how about worrying about making a fun game rather than stressing over the critical reception? If all the running sections are on-rails with tons of QTEs, there's no way you're going to get that kind of score anyways.
They're CE maps remade for Reach's multiplayer. You'll probably get a separate multiplayer disk like they did with ODST.
Yeah, this was the surprise of the show so far for me. Looks stunning.
As long as it's just the voice commands, that's fine.
Good news: First gameplay footage will be shown on Monday at 2:00 PM EST. Todd will be demoing the game for GameTrailers.
So you won't have to wait long!
Maybe your next comment can be "Biggunz: Now comment spamming on N4G"
Can't wait for some hardcore stealth action (emphasis on the stealth, not the action). Thief is one of the best series ever, so I really hope they don't screw this up.
FF7 was also released on PC, and Square Enix owns the rights, not Sony.
I'd love to see what Guerilla's artists could do with a non-rundown environment, like a lush forest or tropical island, etc.
Exactly, this quote is taken way out of context for the sake of an attention-grabbing headline.
Seeing as how Square Enix owns Eidos and is bringing out games like Deus Ex, Hitman and Tomb Raider, I wouldn't want them to go out of business...
But I agree that their Japanese studios have been over-delaying and under-delivering way too much this gen. Hopefully they can turn that around.
That date is coming from "retailers", so like a tentative GameStop release date, I wouldn't put too much faith in it.
I have no doubt it will get released, but going head-to-head against both games like Call of Duty and a direct RPG competitor like Skyrim just sounds a little crazy.
Agreed & about time! Zelda games have always had excellent soundtracks, but there's no reasons those compositions shouldn't be given the full orchestral treatment. Looking forward to hearing it.
These games did an excellent job of focusing on co-op, but here's the thing: co-op is great to include even if you DON'T focus on it.
More games should simply include the option. Even when the implementation isn't perfect, such as in R6: Vegas 1, it's *still fun*.
Even if it makes literally no sense to have a second player within the plot of a campaign (like with several of the Halo campaigns), it's *still awesome*.
...
I would love for this to do well, and for the devs to earn enough money to create a sequel with a full campaign in addition to the multiplayer.
The tweet in question is likely referring to a new game being *published* by Bethesda, not developed by Todd's team.
For instance, Bethesda acquired Arkane Studios (makers of Arx Fatalis) a while back, and have yet to announce what they've been working on. Could be something like that...
A true 2D sequel with fluidly animated art in HD...
Man, that would be awesome. Probably too good to be true though.
Story-wise it's a direct sequel, taking place after the events of Aliens.
As to how it will all fit in, only Gearbox knows right now. Hopefully we'll learn more next week.
Can't wait for this. I *really* hope they haven't "streamlined" it by pumping up the action and dialing down the stealth options.
Hey now guys, as they say: Sex is good, but there's nothing like the real thing...
And I can't wait to see that full 30 minute gameplay demo.
