Honestly, with everyone else giving us multiple games in their HD collections, we should be getting *both* FFX and FFXII together.
Unless Square Enix is going all-out like the Halo Anniversary remake (very doubtful), there's no reason why they can't stick both of the PS2-era FF's on a single bluray.
SE better aim low with that price if they are sticking to only one game, as every other publisher is giving us a great value by including actual HD co...
Better Bodies and Better Heads are always the first mods I install when I fire up MW on a new PC. Of course, there are so many great mods out there now that you can just keep adding new stuff to the game forever.
It's best for us all if Nintendo, Sony and Microsoft all continue to maintain profitable slices of the market.
Competition drives innovation.
Nice. A ton of actually new footage. The variety of environments looks great!
With this, Dark Souls and Skyrim, the end of 2011 will be amazing for action-RPG fans.
The things is, games are typically developed with a certain difficulty curve in mind. Basically, the developers create a game balanced for "normal" difficulty, then add "easy" and "hard" afterwards.
Sometimes those other difficulty levels get enough love that they still play well, but that often isn't the case. Many times these modes are simply tacked on and the overall experience ends up feeling less polished due to factors such as poorly ad...
He's in the gunner seat in this vid, so we don't know if the single player will let you actually pilot the jet. You can definitely do so in multiplayer though.
Starbreeze gives me hope that this will be more than a run of the mill FPS. They always layer on a lot of exploration and atmosphere to their games.
msxbox-world.com probably isn't going to tell people to buy Resistance 3...
@Buff1044
Pete wasn't offended by the subject of the question (button mapping). That's a perfectly legit question, and he's used to clarifying minor details like that. I've tweeted him once or twice myself, and Pete has always answered politely.
It was the tone of the question, and the fact that this user has repeatedly treated others like crap (even those who were doing him favors), that set Pete off.
That guy certainly had i...
The lack of Half Life is pretty glaring.
Also, listing both Goldeneye and Perfect Dark is redundant.
And listing Crysis purely for the graphics? Maybe, but Far Cry 1 was what put Crytek on the map, and was arguably the more influential game for the genre.
If they were making DLC like The Balad of Gay Tony or Shivering Isles, then sure, I'd be all for it. But as opposed to the usual DLC from EA or Activision, I have far more respect for From Software sticking to their guns.
MS stopped being the #1 "big evil corporation" a while back. Windows continues to dominate, but MS is actually the underdog in many other market sectors.
These days, Google is a much scarier player in the "take over and control everything" game, with the power to effectively define what the internet is to most people. With the way they keep buying up verticals and repurposing independent content, soon there won't be much mass information they don't...
"Hey look, it's the Dragonborn!"
*sees NPC pick up zero value spoon*
"Not on my watch! Stop right there criminal scum!"
*NPC flees in terror*
"Then pay with your blood!"
Yep, I've seen it :)
First ep for those who haven't: http://youtu.be/SIy5Q3EB6ec
Agreed. Really hope it's not another western knock-off game like Quantum Theory.
Nice pic to put things in perspective. Still, the foliage reduction is pretty extreme for the console version. Hopefully some of the jungle areas still feel fairly dense.
I'd actually rank Condemned 1 as still being the scariest non-PC game this gen.
Dead Space was suspenseful, but after a few upgrades Isaac becomes so powerful that it's hard to feel scared by the necromorphs and their feeble attempts at harming me :)
Amnesia is definitely the overall most unsettling game in recent years.
I've bought several NFS games in the past, but this licensing BS has really turned me off from the franchise. I won't be buying any EA racing games unless they're used copies from here on out.
Definitely a strange move for Activision to go ahead and canabalize their own sales, although I guess this will sell to some of those who are burned out on COD.
I think pretty much everybody expected that, especially after the Ninja Gaiden games were ported over.
