Or just do some research before buying in the first place.
Regardless, people WILL be fooled as soon as trailers start rolling out. Similar to how we were told that the first CG trailers for games like Killzone 2 and Motorstorm were "100% in-game!" and some people believed the lie with near-religious devotion, there will no doubt be false representations and gullible people who will fall for them all over again.
It's a cycle that repeats wit...
Uncharted 3 ripoff? Maybe if you just discovered video games in 2011...
The multiplayer looks like a natural adaption of Max Payne's gameplay, a series which predates Uncharted by 6 years. If anything it resembles a much more polished version of Stranglehold:

Yeah, these changes sound small but smart.
More choices is generally a good thing, and having perks reflected in your appearance both adds personalization and allows perceptive players to see what they're up against.
It's the question that's stupid.
Might as well ask "What if the next generation thinks that movies are stupid?"
Games are an established branch of media now. They're a story telling medium - something too broad to simply be dismissed.
I highly doubt it will slip to 2013.
The trailer was too far along to be a teaser, and once Rockstar starts rolling out that kind of media, the actual game is almost always less than a year away. They've got a proven marketing method and an IP that would benefit from - not be hurt by - the holiday rush.
Besides going region free, DXHR also added an option to remove the yellow-outline highlighting after fan backlash (thank God).
I was really glad to see Eidos actually listening to the fans when it came to game design and giving us a choice.
Yeah, but the fact is that people tend to learn what they *want* to learn.
Driving a car may seem complex to someone who's never tried it before, but if they have the desire, they'll practice until they learn how to do it.
If someone is drawn to gaming, they'll get past the comparatively small learning curve. Instead of publishers chasing after people who really don't care much about games in the first place, they would do better to create...
Skipping cutscenes and watching them later doesn't really equal a theater mode. I doubt we'll be seeing YouTube vids of the "Top 10 FFvsXIII kills of the week".
In any case, Nomura should just put his money where his mouth is and actually finish the game while there are still people out there that care.
Can't argue with that.
Yeah, including the new Medal of Honor and not the new Call of Duty on this list is rather strange. I think both Borderlands 2 and Resident Evil 6 could be big sellers as well.
"But, to be blunt, pre-Industrial America is just about the WORST possible setting for an Assassin's Creed game."
Maybe the worst for an AC game that aims to be more of the same, but it's a great setting for one that actually tries to do something new and different. The increased role that the wilderness will play sounds like the type of exciting change that the series needed.
This really is a classic. Any fan of ALttP who hasn't played Link's Awakening should check it out. Holds up much better than most GBC games as well.
Yeah, while I appreciate the author's point, he makes a couple factual errors, not the least of which being that Rockstar is primarily a *developer*, not a publisher. Their games are published by Take-Two.
I doubt this is true. The game was looking great at last year's E3, plus they already invested in several cover stories, etc.
Similar to Doom 4, it's probably just another case of a Bethesda-published game being rumored to be cancelled. We're starting to see a trend here...
I agree, but I'd say most gamers care more about "historic flavor" than "historic details", at least as far as accuracy is concerned.
A unique historical setting helps set a game apart, and all the details that flesh out that setting are great, but games like AC obviously play it a little loose when it comes to historical characters and events.
Any history nut would find plenty fo faults with the game's historical depictions, b...
Have no idea how the game will be, but Sanderson is a great author, and I'd definitely recommend the Mistborn trilogy to anyone who enjoys unique fantasy novels.
Dead Space is action-horror, not survival horror. I love the game, but the fact is that after a few upgrades Isaac is basically a walking tank.
Capcom should be aiming to give RE it's own identity, not simply copy what's popular. RE4 did a great job of blending action and survival horror, and Capcom ought to continue that unique balance, rather than simply turning the series into another bland "shooter with zombies".
It's hitting right in the middle of the summer dry season, so there won't be much of a shuffle to get lost in.
It looks surprisingly better than I expected for a licensed game.
I'm getting a DA:Origins vibe from the combat, which is definitely a good thing.
@madjedi
Killzone 2 looked great, but when you claim CG is not CG, that's called deception. The visuals on display in the trailer below are still beyond anything the current gen consoles can pump out:
