I would definitely disagree.

As far as the campaigns go, splitscreen co-op alone added a ton of replay value, and even if you don't do competitive multiplayer, horde mode was a blast to play repeatedly with friends.

Mike, when you make a statement like this:

"Unfortunately most gamers today still feel the need to state that Uncharted copied Tomb Raider, are they right and is Uncharted just a Tomb Raider clone."

That type of broad generalization does sound like something a fanboy would say. "Most gamers" do not claim that Uncharted is a TR clone. They might say that Uncharted took inspiration from TR (even Naughty Dog has said that), but I hardly e...

It will be hard, but maybe.

I kind of wish they didn't already reveal the new enemies. One of the best parts of Halo 1 was the surprise when you first discovered the Flood.

5003d ago 3 agree0 disagreeView comment

Yeah, most of the other big titles (TLoU, Halo 4, etc.) we saw coming. Watch Dogs was a total surprise, and the rest of Ubisoft's lineup wasn't bad either.

But Raiden isn't Kratos.

It makes sense for a raged up Kratos to do hyper-violent acts. That's in character for him. For Raiden, however, it seems out of character.

The game itself looks fun, but the author of this piece does make a decent point.

I'm still waiting to see more Dishonored, but right now the games that most stood out to me were:

Watch Dogs
The Last of Us
Assassin's Creed 3

AC3 just nudged out Halo 4 for me when they showed that naval battle. Ubisoft is really on a roll.

5003d ago 4 agree0 disagreeView comment

Yeah, Ubisoft just stole the show.

I was expecting AC3 to be the highlight of their conference, but Watch Dogs looks amazing. Can't believe they were able to keep it a secret.

The world has "gear gates", so basically expect a Metroid-style open world.

And to think they said that Leon's campaign was supposed to be more traditional survival horror experience out of the three...

Good lord, how much more action-packed must the other campaigns be?

Yeah, they got my hopes up when they talked about bringing back moving bodies (a sad state of affairs when such a basic thing is now considered special), but this really just looks like Future Soldier with climbing.

I won't write it off yet, but these shots aren't doing the game any favors. Thankfully we have Deus Ex and soon Dishonored to scratch my itch for real stealth. I need me some crawl spaces and the ability to ghost through stages non-lethally!

More like irreverent. You have to have your sarcasm detector set to high when reading Destructoid, but that's part of the site's appeal. That said, this article is from the Playstation blog, so I'm not sure why you're bringing Destructoid up.

Aveline looks like an interesting character. And honestly, as long as the game is good, I could care less about the race and gender of the protagonist.

I haven't got myself a Vita yet, but if this turns out to be great, I might have to take the plunge.

@Patriots_Pride

Maybe legreffer's post didn't answer the question in your head, but it did answer the one you wrote down.

Clearly this game is not "just another Forza with a different name". It's an obvious departure from the numbered entries in the series.

2015, not 2013.

I guarantee you, RE6 and BLOPS2 will be really old news by 2015. It's hard to maintain the hype when a game is that far out.

Renewing interest in a game that was announced long ago is usually harder than building interest in a new one, which is why you don't typically see many games announced so far in advance (unless they're by Square Enix...).

Human Element sounds interesting, but if it's not coming until 2015, I'd say Bowling is seriously jumping the gun by announcing it now.

Agreed. Despite the bosses, DX:HR still ranks among the best games this gen, and it's extremely replayable thanks to the wealth of gameplay options and sandbox nature of the stages.

I just hope we get to see some actual gameplay for LOS2 before E3 is over, not just the CG trailer.

A Criterion open-world racer like Burnout Paradise, but with crazy cops that try to ram you off the road like in Hot Pursuit = instant buy.

I just hope the Ceph are more fun to take down this time around.

In both Crysis 1 and 2, fighting human AIs was more entertaining than taking down the aliens, especially when they became bullet sponges that felt like a chore to kill (thus resulting in me just sneaking past many of them).

I was hoping for a Pendulum Wars prequel, but those look like reavers flying in the background, which would seemingly place this game after (or during) Emergence Day.
