The first had a better story and fewer glitches.
That said, I'm loving Darksiders 2. It's just unfortunate that the performance isn't better. It reminds me of Skyrim, in that it's an amazing game, but dragged down by technical issues such as an inconsistent frame rate and a camera that can get in the way.
I think it looks great. It's something new and smart, with what looks like a bit of freeform stealth and navigation.
This is exactly the type of direction Capcom needs. Away from more mindless action, towards games with a thick atmosphere and unique soul.
Loving the voice acting. Borderlands 2 just looks like good, straight-up fun.
Can't wait! Civilization Revolution was a ton of fun, and this looks like it will be as well.
Seeing what the new engines can do with the right hardware really makes me eager for the next gen. That, or a new PC.
Also new design for the sniper (updated from the E3/RTX/ComiCon build).
It looks sleeker! Similar, but less clunky than the prior build. No more loose hanging wire or red lights under the viewfinder.
I'd rather they stay true to their new vision and be consistent with it.
I loved the old Tomb Raider (minus a few of the entries), but if you're going to go in a new direction, go all the way with it. If you try to please everyone, you just end up with a halfhearted experience.
There's a reason you don't see many big movies, TV shows, best-selling books, etc., starring bisexual main characters. It's because they don't sell.
Gearbox didn't decide against this because they're afraid of controversy. The reason they're "playing it safe" is simply because they want to sell as many copies of BL2 as possible.
But some games pad out their length with repetitive sidequests, etc.
A game shouldn't be long just for the sake of being long. The game's length should serve the story and gameplay vision of its developers.
Just like a good film or book, the right length is the length that fulfills the creator's vision, not some arbitrary checklist of "how long a game should be".
Because news outlets love controversy.
If they're going for a more realistic take on things, sexual assault would be a very threat to someone like Lara. And if this was a film or novel, no one would bat an eye. The whole controversy just perpetuates the "games are for children" stereotype.
Why would they need physical weapons at all?
Similar to Dante in DMC, I'd say the guns are there to mix up the combat. They're less powerful than direct melee attacks, but can target enemies with specific weak points, serve to interrupt an opponent's moves, or just keep a combo going.
Most of the complaints had to do not with the content of the ending per se, but with how little it reflected your decisions.
Mass Effect placed a heavy emphasis on player-driven choices and consequences, and when the ending seemed to reflect none of that, it was understandable that fans felt shortchanged.
Getting shades of RE4 here. Definitely some of the most promising footage released.
Yeah, this is the second time they've done this recently, and last time I totally preordered 9 games.
Since Amazon rarely does their $20 credit deals anymore, Newegg has become the go-to place for preorders.
It's not a seamless open world like Skyrim. There are nonlinear world spaces, but they are gated by loading zones and connected via town hubs, similar to Zelda.
You know, it is possible to be a Gran Turismo fan and not be crazy about GT5. Many hardcore racing fans were not all that impressed by the game and have long since moved on, despite being big fans of prior GTs on the PS2.
I'm most worried about Active Camo, which we haven't seen in play yet. At least Promethean Vision speeds the game up. AC slows it down (encourges camping since you're hardest to see when staying still, slows down other players since they're checking for the invisible guy, etc).
Really wish it was either gone or a power upgrade on the map...
Fox is late. CNN was making this link a week ago. But what's really ridiculous is this sensationalist puff piece. Here is the source story:

Its only natural that news outlets are going to publish what James Holmes' psychiatrist, Dr. Lynne Fenton, wrote about him. And the story doesn'...
Glad this game sold well. Capcom needs some encouragement to keep the new IPs coming.
Bought it for PS3. The frame rate is fine when indoors (most of the time), but it really chugs when you combine the larger, open-world spaces with a mob of enemies.
Judging from the many complaint topics on the official forums, it seems to effect both the PS3 and 360 versions. A patch is incoming, so perhaps things will improve.
