Not worried about Promethean Vision.
They probably do need to tone it down a bit, but even if it is OP I can live with it, as it essentially speeds up play. It discourages camping and encourages you to find the next dude and kill him.
Contrast that with something like Armor Lock, which had the effect of slowing down play, and the difference is clear.
The only ability that concerns me is one they haven't shown yet: Active Camo. It wa...
@PockyKing
But that wouldn't really be a "Halo 2 remake", that would just be a map pack. For it to be a real remake, it would have to actually play like Halo 2.
Let's hope it's not on-disk DLC...
I agree that the campaign hasn't aged as well as CE, but the multiplayer was stellar.
That said, as cool as a multiplayer Halo 2 remake would be, I don't see it happening any time soon, as it would split the player base. I'm pretty sure 343 wants Halo 4 to have a nice long multiplayer lifespan.
And that music! Totally looking forward to this.
I still love my Saturn, and now you're giving me the urge to plug it back in :)
Besides Nights, I could totally go for another playthrough of Dragon Force and Panzer Dragoon Saga.
Amazon has great deals, but not as great as they've been in years past. I miss the days when they would frequently offer $20 credit on preorders for big games.
These days I find the best places are Newegg for new games and Gamefly for used. Both frequently offer deals, such as Newegg's recent incentive that gave $10 off every game preordered (I reserved AC3, Ni No Kuni, GOW:Ascension and several others, plus got $12 off on Darksiders 2). Amazon credit is nice, but it&...
No to both. It's mainly because of Spartan Ops.
Spartan Ops missions were obviously going to require space.
Considering that you can use a flash drive, which are dirt cheap (you can get a 16GB drive for under $5 at Amazon), this really isn't an issue.
Also, disk read speed only effects loading times in multiplayer. It doesn't effect real-time gameplay. That's what RAM is for.
Now this I would buy. But it better have the original music!
I like Amazon's credit deals, but Newegg recently offered $10 off altogether, which is still better.
It's too bad Amazon seldom gives $20 credit anymore.
I hope so too. It will be cool at first, but with strategy games there usually comes a point when you just want to fast-track things and get to the next move.
I don't know any objective measure of "most awaited" other than preorders, and by that measure Modern Warfare 3 probably still has the top spot.
Personally, Skyrim was really up there for me. Don't know if anything will beat it in the near future, although I'm definitely looking forward to Dishonored and Halo 4 this year.
Sometimes complaining is GOOD.
The more Sony hears about customers wanting fewer firmware updates, cross-game chat, automatic trophy syncing, etc., the better the PS4 is likely to be.
Even if you're such a religious fan of Sony that the thought of owning another console is morally offensive to you, you should understand that Sony has to pull in normal people as well as hardcore gamers in order to make a decent profit, and many of these issues *do* mat...
This sounds ok, but I wish Monolith would make a new Condemned (in the spirit of the original).
@BlackTar187
There were ads on most major gaming sites, along with video ads on sites such as GameTrailers and IGN (mostly "preoder at GameStop" ads).
Prototype 2 definitely had a decent advertising budget, so I don't think we can blame Activision for not getting behind it.
Really wish this had a US release date. You folks in the UK and Australia are lucky (for once!).
It's not like Activision didn't try to make the Prototype games succeed. They marketed the heck out of them both. The simple fact is that despite the marketing push, not enough gamers cared.
Usually people complain when a publisher sends a game out to fail without spending anything to market it. This definitely wasn't one of those cases.
I basically agree with this review.
After all the talk about how Bethesda's DLC was going to be more on the scale of an expansion, Dawnguard is pretty underwhelming. As stated, the Vampire Lord is just plain annoying to use, thus killing a big part of the DLC's appeal.
It's not bad, but it's certainly no Shivering Isles or Point Lookout.
Yeah, it's definitely closer to DX. And it looks phenomenal.
I agree that MGS3 was the best, but I think Twin Snakes gets a bad rap, usually for the wrong reasons.
What many conveniently forget is that the over-the-top cutscenes were added directly on Kojima's orders. Silicon Knights originally made the game directly the same, but Kojima wasn't happy with the conservative design and wanted more flash (a trend that he's continued ever since).
The voice acting did take a slight hit, but gameplay-wise Twin...
