Bizarre uses of Christian imagery is nothing new to Japan. Just look at Neon Genesis Evangelion.
I've never really considered AC a stealth game in the traditional sense.
Stealth was simply one weapon in your arsenal. Unless the mission dictates that you can't be detected, it was very rarely required, and since your character was always so powerful, you rarely felt the tension or sense of vulnerability that comes with traditional stealth games.
Less annoying jetpack and shotgun footage:

As much as I'd like to see more new IPs like Dishonored, many of these upcoming sequels do look great.
Darksiders 2, Borderlands 2, Halo 4, AC3, Far Cry 3, and reboots like XCOM are all on my preorder list.
Diabolically.
Regardless of disk capacity, graphics have to be loaded into memory to be displayed on-screen. In other words, RAM has a bigger impact than disk space on a game's visual fidelity.
That's why developers refer to the "memory bottleneck" when talking about console games.
If storage space was the main factor, then the key to making your PC games look better would be having a bigger hard drive...
I love how fluid the action looks. I can definitely see this being one of this year's sleeper hits.
The question is whether those features will actually make for a better game. Remember when N4G was declaring that Mod Nation Racers was going to be a Mario Kart killer?
Smash Brothers succeeds for a number of reasons. Its largely G-rated cast provides a wonderfully absurd contrast to the genre. The gameplay is easy to pick up for casuals, but rewards competitive gamers who peel away the layers. It gives players a crazy level of unlocks and customization, etc.
I've also heard that the latest PCs are more powerful than PCs from 6 years ago.
Can it be true!?
At least those 2 games look decent. And things are definitely looking up for the home consoles.
Alread got Darksiders 2 and Fall of Cybertron preordered, and might pick up some others as well.
Whenever I feel like "I'm not really in the mood to do some killing today", I just play video games, and that good old bloodlust comes surging back.
I like my PS3 exclusives, but still get most multiplat games for 360 or PC. Sometimes it's because of lower prices on Steam, or for better performance, or because I simply prefer the 360 controller (for FPS games. I actually prefer the DualShock for 3rd person action games like GoW), etc.
Honestly, I wouldn't want to part with any of my gaming platforms. They all still get plenty of my time.
Yeah, this basically looks like everything I wanted the first game to be and then some. Town hubs with more NPCs, more exotic (and bigger) environments, loot drops and customization... It looks like Vigil has really hit the nail on the head.
There are very few games today that feel genuinely magical. This looks to be one of them.
Yep. I miss going nonlethal and totally ghosting through stages. Also crawlspaces. The old SC games actually made me feel like a spy.
Conviction's co-op was fun, but the campaign itself relied way too heavily on mark-and-execute.
"Haven't ruled it out" = very remote, slim possibility.
They've made it clear that only the PC game is currently in development. I wouldn't hold your breath for a console port.
It's a Chinese company, which means nothing will happen to them other than getting the app taken down.
China is infamous when it comes to not caring about intellectual property rights. They practically encourage their companies to rip off foreign competitors. There's no way they'll bother taking these guys to court.
While I'm not a fan of the 360 d-pad (though I love everything else about the controller), the control issues here aren't because of that.
The new developer messed with the timing and fluidity of the original game's move set. As such, you're going to be wrestling with the controls regardless of which controller you use.
At launch, they've said it will be PC only. And while they may not be "ruling anything out" for the future, that doesn't mean that they're seriously looking at a console port.
Basically, this is just marketing talk. TES:Online for consoles isn't happening.
They played it before the save-corrupting patch was released. Pre-patch, the game has a few small bugs (like the sometimes choppy scaling that was mentioned in reviews), but it's very much playable.
