While I hate morality meters in games since they detract from my character's free will ("Sorry, but you can't select that dialogue choice because you haven't leveled-up your evilness enough!"), I don't think it's impossible to effectively link moral decisions to gameplay mechanics.
The problem is that moral choices in games seldom have any gravity to them. You're either the "nice guy hero" or the "jerk hero". Either way,...
Yeah, I already own almost all of these. It will good for those who don't, provided that the prices are fair. HD collections usually drop in price pretty fast.
Looks fantastic. I wish more shooters embraced a thick atmosphere like this.
Yeah, EA seems committed to a yearly BF/MOH cycle. I would be very surprised if we don't see BF4 next winter.
Also, this "beta" will likely be less about refining the game and more about marketing. If it basically amounts to an exclusive demo, there's no reason why they can't launch it right before releasing the game.
The Autobots don't just roll. They "roll out!" :)
Yeah, they're probably just protecting their font style. Most any company with stylized text files a similar trademark (think of the Mario font, the Star Wars font, etc.).
I think it's a little overkill in this case, but for a company as large as Activision it's probably just standard procedure.
Edit: from the trademark application:
"Standard Character claim: No"
So they're definitely only t...
Even with just stuff that's actually hitting in 2012, it's hard to pick only 5.
Dishonored
Halo 4
Far Cry 3
Assassin's Creed 3
Darksiders 2
Borderlands 2
XCOM: Enemy Unknown
Hitman: Absolution
and more...
My wallet is going to be feeling the hurt.
They may add more via DLC, but the game ships with a lot of them. On the VG247 video, they showed that Salvador can unlock up to 17 head skins and 88 body skins, and those aren't even all the options.
I agree that the mode looks great, but the developer this time around is People Can Fly. Epic is just overseeing things.
I can understand Silent Hill, but what was so bad about the MGS collection?
It looks like the investment will be worth it.
Don't trust the Wesker Child. He's clearly planning to infect us all with a bio-terror weapon.
(it's because daddy Wesker let him play M-rated games)
You just know Gearbox's audio guys love doing these trailers.
While I agree, the money factor crosses all genres, meaning that for those who are cash strapped, Black Ops 2's biggest rival may end up being a game such as Assassin's Creed 3 rather than a competing FPS.
Out of these 3, I'll definitely be buying Halo 4 and Borderlands 2, but probably passing on Black Ops 2. The last COD game I picked up was MW2, and although I am glad to see Treyarch trying some new things, Halo 4's fiction just has me a lot more excited. ...
I remember hating that part where you had to defend MacMillian while waiting for the chopper. The rest of the game wasn't too bad on veteran.
I'm really hoping this turns out well. I enjoyed LoS, but at the same time it was easy to see many areas that could use improvement (better pacing with less drawn-out puzzles, fewer invisible walls, etc.).
I felt the game had a ton of potential, so hopefully the sequel can capitalize on it.
Experiencing Batman's fist encounter with the Joker and other villains could make for a really interesting experience, but I hope they stretch the events out if they go in that direction (give us day and night cycles, maybe let us switch to Bruce during the day, etc.).
Dealing with a ton of villains over a single night again might be a little hard to justify.
So by this logic, I guess every DS game = 3DS game?
Sorry, but when you start saying things like "I think too many games come out" it really sounds like a stretch.
If someone told you "Get a Wii instead of a PS3. Too many games come out on the PS3." would you consider that to be good advice?
@Xof
What you fail to understand is that not releasing games = supporting your platform!
/sarcasm
Honestly, I doubt those defending this would offer the same excuses if the company was Microsoft or Nintendo. Imagine if the Xbox 720 came out and then went a month without any new software. Many N4Gers would likely be singing from the rooftops about how MS had abandoned gamers.
I hope the Vita picks up, but if it does, i...
That would be awesome.
Even if it was just for XBLA & PSN, I could see someone like WayForward doing great things with the IP.
