Spector is about as far left as Beck is far right, so no surprise that the two wouldn't get along, but the scenario just sounds childish.
If you drag politics into everything, even Disney fandom, you just come off as immature. All the guy did was mention that be works with Beck and suddenly Spector hates him? Warren should have been a bigger man and kept his politics out of the situation.
Dialogue is a good thing. If you are incapable of being friends wit...
It looks good, but I hope the campaign brings back some of the survival horror atmosphere of Gears 1 (though I doubt it will). Gears 3 was so colorful that, while a great game, it lacked that awesome feeling of dread and despair.
I get what you're saying, but as far as "making of" videos go, this one was honestly pretty good.
Love when they pan over to the right and the player is just embarrassingly terrible...
It's interesting that scoping the area out now essentially gives you detective vision. Definitely looking forward to seeing more of this.
I'm really loving the art design for this map. The rock formations and lighting look great. Hope Active Camo is less annoying than in Reach.
Bravo also has some new footage up:

Bethesda's games are extremely taxing on both consoles. The PS3's memory bottleneck just makes matters worse.
Some people seem to think that all open-world games are the same. They're not. Skyrim presents a PERSISTANT open-world with a massive amount of physics-enabled objects.
If you walk into a house, you can pick up the freakin' spoons. The SPOONS have physics. And if you drop that spoon in the forest, it will still be there days later....
It may be "possible", but that doesn't mean it will make sense for many games.
We could have every game on the current-gen consoles run at 120 frames per second if we wanted, but that would mean making sacrifices elsewhere (in graphic detail, resolution, etc).
The next gen will not have unlimited power. There will still be a balancing act between whether developers want to really push the visual detail, or scale it back for a smoother frame ...
Great collection. This was a limited release and commonly goes for $140-$200 now if you want a new copy. Prime 1 is still my favorite of the series, and is one of the best FPS games ever imo.
Supposedly it's still coming to consoles, though I'd bet most of those screens are from the PC build.
Yeah, I've been watching this one for a while. It's been in development for like 6 YEARS, so I hope they actually release the thing...
@Nimblest-Assassin
"The demo was running on a PC at current-gen specs, and its wow-factor seemed to impress those in attendance. It's also been designed with the Xbox 360 and PS3 in mind."
Sounds like it will hit the PS3 and 360, and I wouldn't be surprised if we see it on the Wii U as well. Konami made a point of talking up how the Fox engine is multiplatform-ready, so it only makes sense that they'd put that feature to use.
Essentially, stealth has become just an option.
We don't see pure stealth games in the traditional sense today. Instead we see games that say "you can be stealthy . . . or go in GUNS BLAZING!"
It's the same thing that we've seen happen with survival horror. If your games isn't also an action game, risk-averse publishers don't want any part of it. Unfortunately this often translates to a dumbed-down experience.
I love it when fighters give us lots of customization, but man . . . Those are some manly shoulders.
Maybe they ran into one of those bugs that broke the main quest?
I had to start from scratch after that happened to me 10 hours in, and it definitely drains some of the enjoyment. There are 3-4 serious bugs that can totally block your progress and force you to restart.
I love the game, but it needs a patch asap.
But are sales for traditional games dropping off?
It seems console games are still selling, and a large install base means more potential customers. I do think we're near a point where whoever introduces a truly next-gen system will see a healthy adoption rate, but I don't think the longer cycle of this gen has hurt publishers or developers. If anything, it's made it a bit easier to weather the economic downturn.
That's what she said.
(sorry, I couldn't resist)
Games can tell some stories better than any other medium, just not traditional stories.
The more control the author has over the story telling, the better he or she is able to realize their vision. That's why novels remain one of the best mediums for traditional stories, since they're one person's pure vision rather than a corporate-driven group effort.
However, good games necessarily take control away from the author and put it in the hands o...
It's just a year-by-year list with metacritic scores and sales data, but yeah, these kind of topics tend to be flame bait. The article also leaves out downloadable exclusives such as Journey and Bastion, etc.
Arkane looks like they really hit it out of the park with this. Really wish we saw more games like Dishonored, Thief and Deus Ex.
I doubt either console will get a big lead next gen.
The 360's early launch clearly helped the system take off, and both MS and Sony know it. As such, smart money says that both new consoles will launch within the same general window (I wouldn't expect them more than 60 days apart).
