"With Sony officially going up against the Rift and Vive"
they are on completely different platforms. For the most part, the PSVR doesn't compete with PC VR
Why ? You do realize they don't compete with PSVR ? Sure, there might be some of that, but for the most part, no.
nice profile picture lol
"what they dont tell you is it takes a $1000 pc to look better"
Hmmm lets see. Nope, wrong.
"whats sad is the consoles look just a good."
Hmmm let me think about that one. Nope. Wrong again.
4/10 try again.
yeah, I mean, its not like they have 300+ people actually working on a game which is likely too big even for the funding they've raised.
Oh wait...
Ofcourse DC looks better. Forza 6 was designed to run on the XBOX, and that too at 60 fps (double of DC) !
Unless they completely overhaul the graphics for PC, it obviously won't look as good.
As in, grahpics ?
I think everyone is spoiled with Driveclub, but remember that this is running at literally twice the framerate. You can't expect it to have rendering features nearly as good. The game was designed to run at 60fps on XBOX, so unless they completely overhaul the visuals, don't expect anything else.
Game has a long way to go. This year will really make or break it. Hope they can pull it off; if they do it will truly be a groundbreaking game.
xD
@kraenk12
In what way ? There are many games on PC that can be better than The Order. It depends on what you're looking for. Crysis 3 renders natural environments so beautifully and dense and detailed. Nothing on console comes remotely close.
Star Citizen - the sheer detail of geometry and textures/materials + the scale. Granted, right now it's very rough in areas, but this will, in many ways be much more impressive than Uncharted 4 and The Order. ...
Just watch The Cemetary Trailer again to get you pumped for the game. This trailer kind of sucked.
Well, obviously they gave it a chance or multiple chances and it didn't work.
It is what it is. Let's not try to side with MS or Lionhead, trying to figure out if MS was wrong or Lionhead was incompetent. This stuff just happens, it's a reality of game development (esp AAA). You need lots of talent, manpower and money. Nothing moves without money, for obvious reasons.
Angry Joe hasn't put out a review yet.
Are you talking about the preview ? Or some twitter posts or something ?
Music was a bad choice... doesn't fit at all.
The Cemetary live action trailer had the perfect music, but that was kind of custom for that trailer... worked perfectly perfectly.
The magazine art could be better imo, but the art in general for the game is just gorgeous.
Fluidity and image quality - yes, will be much better with Apex on PC. And that's no small thing ; it's a big part of the visual experience.
In terms of actual rendering features, no. Driveclub is by far the most graphically advanced racing game. In other words, taking away framerate and resolution, and maybe texture quality, overall it beats everything out there. (saying this as a PC gamer)
Driveclub's overall lighting model is just a lot more ad...
It looks gorgeous, but showing scaled up graphics on reveal is dishonest. Maybe it was just because console specs weren't revealed ? because the same happened to The Witcher 3, also revealed that year.
Let's wait for Ghost Recon Wildlands and see. That trailer had some graphics that honestly looked amazing. By that I mean lots of tesselation or POM and detail everywhere, an insane draw distance, fantastic lighting and shadowing, and also what appeared to be volumetric...
They never claimed that it was on a console. The demos they showed were obviously on a high end PC. As long as the PC version isn't downgraded, you can't really blame Ubisoft (PROVIDED they also show console footage, let people try it out etc, which they did with The Division)
Needless to say, with The Division, WatchDogs and Witcher 3, the PC version is not as good looking as the 2013 version, so there is definitely a downgrade
I've defended Ubisoft so far by saying the console specs weren't known, and The Witcher 3 was also downgraded (all three were shown at 2013 E3)
I mean, in subsequent years, once specs were known, they showed the downgraded version anyway. It looked significantly less impressive (no, the division was not downgraded from the 2014 version, it's prettymuch the same). Also, For Honour gave a good impression, since it was running on PS4.
However, I didn't no...
This is so retarded. Don't know why such immature articles are here.
The PSVR was expected to be cheap. It has to be cheaper. It is VR for consoles which cost less than $400.
PSVR is -
1) Lower spec than say, the Rift
2) Is from Sony, who are a hardware manufacturer as well.
3) Can be sold at a loss, because of the large install base etc etc , just like consoles.
Yes, OFCOURSE it's more mainstream, and OFCOURSE it costs...
