"Uncharted 3 got a 10/10 from IGN Murica and Uncharted 4 an 8.8/10?
Yeah right

Lucy's 8.8 is clearly meant to get the clicks for IGN."

Come on man, that's just incredibly stupid. I mean, like gobsmacking levels of stupidity. How did you come to that conclusion ? wow, I really don't know what to say to that. :/

Have you ever considered that maybe, just maybe, she like Uncharte...

"There is no greater measure of a game’s objective quality than a review score. We all know this. Publishers hinge money on review scores, and NeoGAF posters stake the success of their personal growth as human beings on numeral validation. With this in mind, we must conclude that Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End, sporting a measly 8.5 on popular website The Jimquisition Dot Com, is an utter disappointment.

8.5 is the lowest score a videogame can get, lower even than IGN’s in...

Calling BS on what ? That's the whole point.

He enjoyed both as overall experiences a lot. Why is that BS ? What's there to call out ?
Not to mention that review scores aren't objective comparisons. How do you even objectively compare QB and Uncharted 4 at this level ? They are completely different games for the most part.

and all those other people who enjoyed the game don't have the balls to tell the truth ? AI looks far from stupid in what I've seen. Series does look boring, but some people enjoyed it. "Dark graphics" What ?

Nissan cars all over the place is a con ? That's incredibly stupid, I doubt AJ made a big deal about that

I respect AJ's opinion, it's 100% valid. Doesn't change the fact that a lot of people enjoyed it. his review ...

"Mentioning the forgettable Quantum Break in the same sentence as Uncharted 4 should only serve to acknowledge the distinct superiority of the ND production.
Quantum Break serves as a warning to developers, whilst Uncharted 4 sets a new benchmark for them."

Good Lord, are you trying really hard to start a fanboy war or something ? Maybe try being a little less snarky. QB was a great game for a lot of people. Sure, the TV show was hit and miss, as predic...

Really ? The majority of Order reviews top rated comments were bashing reviewers for no reason. Probably a backlash from the pre-release hate, but it was really bad nonetheless.

Any review 7/10 or below was called out for clickbaiting, xbox fanboy, biased, bashing for no reason etc. These were the top rated comments by the way. They ignored the majority of the criticisms in those reviews and kept saying "just because it's linear" "just because it's ...

*facepalm*
all those things are better in your opinion. Going back to square one all over again. The vast majority of people would probably agree with you, including myself, but that's completely besides the point. Stability is the only objective thing there, along with character graphics.

Just about everything else you mentioned are completely different. The gunplay is completely different, the graphics are very different. T...

which pretty much matches the graphs they showed off. It's still significantly faster than their current flagship cards.

Also, with stuff like multiprojection in VR, there's a much larger performance delta there.

why ? The COD trailer wasn't bad. The part with going into space was brilliant.

Sure, graphically, it was... lacking xD
but still

COD Infinite Warfare looks great for the most part, don't know why people are hating. Finally, devs are changing things, adding more freedom, more mechanics, taking it to space. That's a good thing, not a bad thing. I don't get why people still want the same old oversimplified gallery shooter.

The PSVR doesn't compete with the rift as it's on a different platform.

However, if by compete, you mean the experience, absolutely. If you have a good PC and a rift, you'll have a better visual experience yes, but PSVR is obviously no slouch. Not to mention it is widely reported to be the most comfortable of all the headsets. And there will be great exclusive content as well.

"With this new "review" system IGN can take money to give a game an inflated score before release. Then correct the score after the initial sales surge and claim some shred of integrity."

Yes, and you obviously know that these are their intentions. There's no possibility that it's for any other reason, even if they state reasons which do make some sense from their point of view.

Let's just assume it's for cheating scor...

Best looking game is subjective I suppose, but specifically in terms of lighting and global illumination, I just haven't seen anything that comes close to QB. Those 4k screenshots... sometimes it looks like concept art, other times like pre-rendered CGI. I just can't see as much inconsistencies and flat lighting like in other games.

3693d ago 0 agree0 disagreeView comment

QB ismore advanced than Battlefront graphically. Remember that Battlefront has more static lighting, versus QB. That includes the Global Illumination.

Even so, it should be easy to see that QB is using a lot more lighting information, a lot more screenspace effects. SW Battlefront doesn't even have realtime ScreenSpace Reflections, whereas QB uses them everywhere. Does SW Battlefront have volumetrics like The Division and Quantum Break ?

I get that...

well, we get games like GTA. Remember that GTA5 was basically the epitomy of a AAA blockbuster, with something like a 5 year dev cycle ? The same with The Witcher 3, or rather their next game, cyberpunk 2077. However, I think you're referring more to exclusives on PC ? Yeah, there simply isn't that much incentive, because it isn't financially feasible. Star Citizen is, ofcourse, the exception not the rule, and we still have to see if that ends up a success.

uh... no it doesn't lol

Better lighting ? seriously ? The Divisions lighting is flat compared to QB. Better global illumination ? Really ? QB has the best GI there is in a game so far. The Division's is nice, but doesn't come close to what you see in QB.

Infact, everything is flat compared to QB. There's a reason Remedy had to render it at 720p, then gimp shadows and volumetrics to abysmal levels to get it to run on the XBONE.

characters - yes, UC4 easily wins. Now, there is a certain lifelike quality in QB that I don't see in UC4 videos, probably to do more with lighting, but overall, UC4 characters look way better.

"superior shader effects" how did you get to that conclusion ?

Look at that gif again. The lighting you see in that is something that no other game really comes close to (granted, the gif isn't the most impressi...

Sorry, but how exactly did you even make that comparison ? Completely different aesthetics, completely different environments. Maybe character models, but that's it. Besides, wide open vs linear levels.

Also, as it happens, QBs lighting model is way heavier than anything else out there, including UC4. You can see that if you compare these screenshots to QB. So no, it doesn't look better than the PC version of QB. QB on PC looks incredible, especially with upscaling...
