That's great. This is what everyone needs to realize, from both sides.

Fans and critics can have legitimate arguments

Well, watching the walkthrough, that was my least favourite part story wise.
It lacked any kind of believability. Going up there, camping with a rocket launcher and killing hundreds of enemies in waves.just looked rather silly :D

Oh well, perhaps that part was fun gameplay wise, and that makes it feel different.

Honest criticism - I felt like the obligatory shooting of 100 people every level was directly interfering with the story believability on...

I've only watched the walkthrough, but when I saw that first boss fight I was absolutely loving it. It looked like quicktime, but with more control. I don't know how it controlled but all I know is I really wouldn't mind playing that section. It looked intense as hell.

Anyway, that section was a stand out section for me, even story wise. albeit while watching the walkthrough.

That's kind of an excuse, and one that...

Well, thats what you say. On the other hand are the many people saying the physics are fine, and comparable to rFactor and the likes. Some cars are good, some aren't. Who do I believe ?

Besides, have you actually driven those cars in real life ? I don't know, it's hard to believe the physics can ever be as bad as you make it out to be.

Depends on which type of racing game people prefer. DCs racing is between sim and arcade, which, as an experience, is going to be boring to some people.

However, you said Driving game, and I kind of have to agree with you. I mean, I really can't argue with the INSANE quality I'm been seeing for a while with this. Not to mention that Evo deserves so much respect for it's post launch support. Hopefully pCars will do stuff like this too - new graphical and gamepla...

When a game like like Wolfenstein The New Order also came out the same year... this is kind of sad.

Wolfenstein really should have won that award if it was going to an fps game.

They are drip feeding tracks. When tracks are licensed, they'll announce them.

If the game still needs more time, which it does, it will be delayed. It has nothing to do with anything. They still need to 'drip feed' tracks.
Just because the game delayed, doesn't make listing announcing some tracks bad.

Delays are nothing special now. People should get used to them ESPECIALLY for crowdfunded games like this. Even Star Citizen for examp...

They really pushed graphical boundaries back in 2011.

I only wish they were willing to do the same here.

Well, from preview comparisons, the consoles have some settings on high, others on medium. Basically, a lot of it is similar, but PC will have higher defninition, better textures and better looking assets sometimes (although the assets themselves are probably the same)

A PC running on high is going to look better, but PS4/XBONE should look great too, so I wouldn't worry.

Yes

As we all know making an announcement and putting up 4 screenshots takes an absolutely monumental amount of time.
They should never do that.

For console versions maybe. Still a lot of people playing and following this on PC.
Besides, consoles have their dedicated sims. Although they might not be capable of being as hardcore or sim focused, they're still going to be very high quality, and higher quality than what a multiplat can give

Don't know which open world game you played that looks this good xD

Modded skyrim doesn't even come close. Unless you go insane with foliage and texture mods. ENBs are essential, but even they cause significant performance drops.

TW3 will be one of the best looking games on PC. It won't be Crysis 3, that's for sure, but it will look amazing. Wait and see. Wait for Gamersyde videos of ultra settings and watch.

Hyprocritical nonsense

Did TLOU get slammed for being linear ?
Did KZ SF get slammed for being linear ?
Did any Uncharted game every get slammed for being linear ?

Answer : No.

Yeah, I mean, that's why The Order got low reviews, right ? Linearity. That was clearly the main issue. There were no other legitimate issues, nothing at all. You can clearly see that just by looking at reviews. Their main gripe was linea... ...

Many gameplay elements, but how many at a given time ?

I've only watched it, so I don't know. Please tell me though, is the combat anything more than Gears Of War style wave based cover shooting ?

If that's the case, then it definitely does not have enough gameplay elements. I would want complexity and depth for immersion. That means complexity at any one time, especially for basic combat

RAD should REALLY move away from Wave ...

@The_infected
More excuses for The Order 1886 reviews. Again, fanboy mentality. FFS just come to terms with the fact that the game had some flaws in many peoples eyes. If you liked the game great, if not too bad.

Stuff like this is even more hypocritical when you read major reviews and see that 'linearity' was never said to be a major issue !

[spoilers]

Wouldn't it mbe more sensible in the docks scene to retreat and try from another location or something ? The other time, before murdering every guard looking for a key, it was "We don't have time"
Up till about half way, the story was epic to see. Then characters start behaving really stupid, shifting alliances like nothing matters. Reasons given are not enough. Also the killing thing. The funny part about that is the cringeworthy justific...

well, I have to disagree there. TW2 was incredibly beautiful for me. The first two acts were amazing. Third act looked kind of meh.

I mean, in Flotsam, I saw some of the best visuals in any game period. It was insane, I just walked around the town at dawn, sometimes taking Geralts shirt off for more roleplaying/immersions - that's how fascinated I was. I would then meditate and do it again.

There were, however, many aspects in which it looked subpar. Fr...

Just so you all know, this was being played via streaming using Nvidia Grid. It wasn't being played direcly on a PC

Ofcourse, some clips will be running at lower settings. Some clips will be of older builds. Some clips will have builds in which certain scenarios look really bad because the fx work and lighting hasn't been done up for them. If you really want to know what the games visuals, you need to watch lots of videos at high quality, from youtubers you know will put out good videos.
Also, realize that for a PC game like this, it's going to take a much bigger hit from youtube compressio...

"Stand Fast, RAD, Don't Let The Haters Hurt The Order's Sequel"

Absolutely. Don't let the people who say bullshit 'Oh look it's linear qte filled crap only 5 hours long bla bla' influence it. I agree completely. At the same time, don't let the fanboys ruin it either, by listening to their 'This game is perfect, and reviewers are wrong/ that's jut the game they want to make' response to every criticism.
