No, I'm the one pointing out that Sony's "10million" is from PAL sales and that Microsoft's "9million" is from "EUROPE" sales.
If Europe is all of PAL, then what is Australia? Is that...NTSC-U or NTSC-J? And you brought up my point about Wiki seemingly without realising it. What I said was that any of those areas COULD be considered "PAL", but Microsoft and Sony have never been clear as to WHICH areas they count.
Microsoft's numbers DON'T i...
morganfell, aren't you the one ignoring the fact that PAL and EUROPE are not the same thing?
gaffyh - I cannot comment on 360/PS3 sales in Australia, I don't have the figures for it, but rest assured that PAL isn't just Europe+Australia, in fact look here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wik...
And of those blue areas can be considered "PAL", but as someone else stated already, what MS considers PAL and what Sony Considers PAL are likely two different things. There's no way of really picking t...
Shadow Flare: It would help if you actually quoted the article correctly -
"Sony announced it had sold 10m units in the PAL territory at Gamescom two weeks ago – just days after Microsoft had revealed a 9m installed base figure for the Xbox 360 in Europe to MCV. "
Remember, PAL is NOT Europe Alone. PAL covers other areas, such as Australia as well. So its quite possible that both figured are correct and Microsoft is actually still 1million ahead in Europe a...
I suppose all those people bought Prototype because they were fanboys and wanted to stick it to inFamous?
People like to rag on anything that's big.
People hate on Sony because they were the big cheeses during the PS1/PS2 days. People hate Microsoft because they're such a huge company, own a very successful operating system and can afford to buy many small countries.
People hate Activision because they're such a large publisher (And their CEO is an ass).
MW1 is quite possibly the definitive MP experience of this generation. Its certainly the most exceptional Multi-PLATFORM game ...
COD4's graphics were NEVER considered "Photorealistic". COD4 did not shine as a graphical masterpiece, however what it did have going for it was the 60FPS framerate. I'll take that over some fancy shader effects or AA ANY day of the week.
Honestly, if you'd played MW1, you'd know how rock solid the gameplay was. If someone complains because the graphics aren't good enough, then just GTFO because you're not a real gamer, you're an idiot.
Good grapbics are great to have, ...
Those lucky PC gaming bastards!
Wait a second! I'M A PC GAMING BASTARD! W00T!
I think you're lost. The openzone is that way --------->
That's the standard AV port. Different NATIONS use different TV systems (at least up until the HD standard, which is pretty international). From PAL to NTSC (and NTSC-J, yes it IS different) to SECAM. It makes sense to me and I didn't need to "research" anything to figure it out.
I blame EA!
I think its fair to say that with this generation, the term "exclusive" doesn't mean much of anything.
Sure, I mean first-party exclusives are pretty rock Solid, your Halos and Gran Turismos aren't going anywhere, but when it comes to 3rd party exclusives, its anyone's guess as to what "Exclusive" really means.
We've seen "Only on Xbox" logos on games that went multiplatform and we've seen games without that logo that stayed where they are.

Martyrdom is hardly difficult to avoid, just don't run over a corpse when you kill someone.
There was nothing realistic about COD4, but it sure as hell was fun.
Because Microsoft's points codes are region locked.
Why only 720p? Surely the PS3 is capable of doing a PS2 game at 1080p60.
US Only :(
onanie You're STILL ignoring it. And since I've run out of bubbles, there's nothing further I can add. The fact that you keep ignoring what I'm saying only proves that you have no argument. The fact that you have to pick holes in part of what I'm saying while ignoring the rest is a testament to this.
The PS3 has always had the "better value" argument going for it. The slim is certainly a lot cheaper so the value is more apparent, but the 360 has done all right so far, despite its "value" not being as good.
I'm sitting on the fence for this one, I think Microsoft are seeing just how consumers really react by pitching the elite at the same price as the PS3. Who knows what consumers will do in the end?
We live in interesting times.
Oh ok then, sure, it wasn't ALL of PAL, it was just PART of PAL. But that STILL includes areas outside of Europe, which Microsoft did NOT include. Once again - your issue with the "missing" 2million figure is because you're trying to compare two different statistics from two different areas of the planet that just happen to overlap a little.
