Turn10's actions have nothing to do with this discussion, you're trying to argue that GT5 isn't being hyped when it CLEARLY is. It doesn't matter who does the hyping, be it PD themselves or some other media, hype is hype. Yeah, Forza 3 is getting hyped as well, I'm not denying that for a second, I'm not even trying to belittle GT5 in any way, I'm simply saying that the game is being hyped while you're saying that it's not.

So saying that GT5 will be the best racer ever made, with the best graphics ever seen in a racer isn't hype?

True, but equally many people don't want a 360 because its "unreliable". A redesign would be a great way for Microsoft to ditch that image and the price cut that could come with it would sweeten the deal more.
Plus, they could add wireless to it to ditch another common negative point about the machine.

That depends entirely on how they "redesign" it. It might be more of a "360 small" than a "360 slim". Or they might just decide to produce an entirely new model, along with an entirely new HDD design (possibly internal?).

Just because a game was "overhyped" does not mean the game itself is bad, it just means that for one reason or another the hype for it was too great for it to live up to. So don't get upset if your favourite game is on this list, it doesn't mean the game is bad, just that it wasn't as good as some people made it out to be.

Some of you don't seem to know what this actually is, so allow me to explain:

The "current" wireless standard is the "g" standard. Previous standards include "a" and "b". Any wireless equipment you have now is most likely wireless "g".
This new standard is wireless "n" and although you've been able to get wireless "n" devices for some time now, the standard was never actually finished until a few days ago...

Because with the music games, you can drive right in and feel yourself playing some legendary tunes with very little practice. You can't do that with a real guitar.
Plus, imagine there's 4 people, all of varying skills with their instruments, you can't easily jam together, but you can all jump on Rock band together and have a laugh.

No, they're real night vision goggles, they just use a VERY early design principal. And by early, I MEAN early, circa 1935. The reason they're not certified to be used on the field is because they're useless today - they work by lighting up the battlefield using an infra-red light. Modern NVGs simply pick up ambient IR light, meaning if you brought one of these out into the battlefield, you'd be lit up light a Christmas tree to anyone using a set of NVGs made after the 1950's or 60's - hardly...

Overpriced, maybe, but people need to stop acting like the service is identical to PSN. PSN is great, it's free - you can't complain about free, but Live DOES have extra features. Sure, you might not necessarily want or care about those features, but they are there. As long as Live has those features that set it apart from the PSN, Microsoft will be able to justify charging for it.

Both services do dedicated servers and both services do P2P play. It's not up to the service, its up to the developers and publishers.

Wow, some of you are incredibly ignorant.

Have you any idea where half of your toys, keyboards, various other electronics, come from? Chinese factories just like these!
Don't be alarmed because you can see it in some nice pics, this kind of thing is the norm. Yet puzzlingly, NOW you're complaining about how much they get paid and how hard they have to work? How do you know that this particular factory is just as bad as some of the horror stories you've heard?

They're 1st generation NVGs, they'll work, they just wont be the best you can get today. Still they'll be pretty cool to have, but they're not supposed to be used in any practical sense. If you want a really good, solid pair of NVGs, go out and buy a proper pair (and be prepared to pay a few thousand for them). If you want a kickass collector's item, get the MW2 prestige edition.

Greywulf, are you seriously trying to argue that graphics aren't important, but that the 360 isn't graphically good enough? Isn't that what we call "double standards"?
You're trying to argue that the 360 is in some way NOT a "HD" console, which either shows how much of a fanboy you are or how ignorant you are. Ok, lets just say for now that the PS3 is the most powerful beast of a console out there, that the 360 has been pushed to its limits and the PS3 hasn't - so wh...

I know this is going to sound a LITTLE bit biased, but for all the Flak that Microsoft gets over Natal, do you not think that they should at least be praised for trying to do something new, instead of just releasing a new console with a beefier CPU/GPU?

6108d ago 2 agree0 disagreeView comment

Yeah because all those games that ran at sub-720p on the 360 ran at 720p on the PS3? Oh wait, they didn't - COD4 runs at the same res on both.

Show me one console generation where the most powerful console with the best LOOKING games actually "won".
The PS1 beat the N64 (And to a small extent, the Dreamcast). The PS2 beat the Gamecube and the Xbox. 3rd times a charm? I'm not saying that the PS3 is destined for failure - its not, quite simply I'm saying that just because the 360 is starting to show its age, it doesn't mean you should count it out. Hell, just look at the Wii.
Right now, the 720 isn't needed becau...

"our only game for the year"

What? Plenty of games have been and are coming out for the 360, both exclusive and multi-platform, what are you talking about?

6109d ago 11 agree35 disagreeView comment

I don't see why it wouldn't, but since its a PS3 game you'll always be able to import it.

A bad review? That's not what I'd call it. Boring as hell, sure and the guy's English isn't the greatest (For those who think he's Russian - he's from Chile, you idiots), but that doesn't make his review "bad". He likes the game and he talks about why he likes it, that's pretty much what you want from a review.

I'd class a bad review as the kind of review that slams a game just because its on a certain platform or from a certain developer. Like when someone gave Killzon...
