They shouldn't be seen as an expense, then. They should be seen and used as a promotional tool, an extra for fans of the game, something to sweeten the deal of buying the game perhaps. I wouldn't pay £3 for a theme, but give it away for free and there's a good chance I'll use it for a while, which is likely to make me more interested in the game.

Oh wait, no, they don't, there's ALWAYS a lag between japanese and western releases. In fact, this is one of the shorter lag times, normally it can be up to and beyond an entire YEAR. Go ahead, look up the release dates of FF7-10 if you don't believe me.
I've yet to see anything about MW2 that worries me at all. Everything I've seen about it makes it look like damn good fun. I hate Activision for bumping the price up and I'll do my best to get around it (i.e. buying used or whatever), but I can't wait for the game.

The Entire Breath of Fire series is worthy of a Next-Gen remake, especially the first 3. If capcom did them up with really nice graphics, even just HD 2D graphics, they could put all 3 on one disk and I'd be happy to pay full price for them.
I agree this isn't worth a full price tag, but you know what - that's ok. This wouldn't be the first game I've thought "I'd like to play that, but I'm not paying that price for it". I can happily wait a month or two for the price to drop to a level I'm willing to pay.

It wasn't cheap parts that made the 360 unreliable, it was the design of it in general.
I can't see NATAL costing a lot. I mean I can't see it costing like £100 as some people seem to think it will. One thing you have to give Microsoft, they know what to charge to get the most out of people. The market NAtal is going for is the same market the Wii targets and part of the charm of the Wii is the cost. I wouldn't be surprised if Microsoft aimed to price a 360 + Natal at somewhere near the price point of a Wii.

The only thing you can comment on is which LOOKS better but as a gamer, looks come second to gameplay for me.
I am not quite ready to believe that the game has been compromised in any way, however if it has, the 360 isn't to blame - Squeenix is. There's nothing stopping them making the game as good as it can be on BOTH systems, if they decided to downgrade both because of one system alone, that was their decision.

Well you know what, so are wireless networks. They're not as fast and latency can be bad. If you have the option to use ethernet, you use ethernet and that's the end of it.
If you only have one ethernet cable between your PC and your 360, buy a switch! For the grand cost of about £10, you can have both connected without any pesky swapping of wires or cables - and at the same time as well!

You know, during the previous generation, multiplatform games tended to look better on the Xbox (the more powerful console). Hell, even the Gamecube ports tended to look better than the PS2's. No fault of the PS2, it came out a couple of years earlier, but the point is that Multiplatform games back then didn't get "Gimped" because of one particular console, so why would games be "gimped" today?

The graphics definitely weren't anything special, but I loved the framerate. I'd have that framerate with those graphics over the best graphics any day.
There's already been a few hacker games like this before. The most significant is Uplink, which is well worth trying!
About to try the demo of this game, see if its any good or not. I hope its as good as Uplink.
