Sure you can, especially when you talk about a single feature as if it's the be-all and end-all. His EXACT words were "This is the best damage mechanics ever!". All I said was that they weren't, that another game had better damage mechanics.
There's more to a good racer than the damage system, everything else has to tie together. Graphics, physics, handling, the tracks, the cars, etc.
No game is ever going to get every single one of them absolutely perfect, you'll always...

It looks nice and I'm sure it will definitely add to the game, but I still think Codemaster's damage system is the best we've seen so far. But then, their games don't "look" as nice as GT or Forza and certainly don't have nearly as many cars.

Shame there's a few Multiplats from Codemasters that have better damage than the exclusives, eh?

I much prefer the Damage system in GRID, it looks great and you can seriously mess up the vehicles. However, for me it was a bit TOO realistic, if you clipped a corner you could forfeit the entire race because your wheel was so badly damaged, you couldn't turn.
They seemed to have toned it down somewhat in DiRT 2 and I found it much more fun, but then I don't play many racing games.

It seems to me that both Forza AND GT5 forfeit realism for fun. The games are both about the...

Anyone noticed that despite the apparent "lag", most journalists seem to be commenting on how responsive it is?

Here's Kotaku on this very video - http://kotaku.com/5367460/p...

"Playing around with the game for a few minutes I was impressed with how responsive the controls seemed to be, allowing me to move around moving objects...

Anyone that thinks Natal and the Eye Toy are the same thing is sorely mistaken and incredibly ignorant. Do some research.

"People keep talking about using the controller with Natal. I thought the big push for Natal was 'Your body is the controller'. "

It is, but what most people seem to be fixated on is how Natal can be used with existing genres a games - games that weren't really designed with Natal in mind. The best compromise is for you to use both.
Ideally, Natal should bring about a bunch of games that simply haven't been made yet due to the controller being limiting in some way. T...

I haven't paid the full RRP of a game in years. If you look online, you can get them MUCH cheaper, many pre-orders are really cheap so you still get the game on release day.
There are few games that I'm so excited for, I'm willing to drop the RRP just to have it on day one.
Ironically, MW2 would probably have been one of them, but since Activision upped the price, I'm happy to wait and buy it second hand both to ensure I don't pay over the odds and to screw Activision in my own sm...

Uhh, hate to break it to you, but there's enough big exclusives on BOTH consoles that if you don't own both of them, you're not a "hardcore" gamer. Or at least, you can't afford to be one.

It's not always about cash you know. When you do an exclusive deal with anyone, you get preferential treatment. Most likely, Ubisoft has had MS engineers flown over to work directly with them on several occasions. Microsoft will be marketing SC:C heavily without costing Ubisoft a penny and so on.

They're the same kind of people that complain about Halo, Fifa and just about any other franchise. They make a loud racket, but those games still sell millions each time so I suspect they're the minority. Look at ODST, 2million sold in like 24hours? Even MW2 will have a tough time beating at but I'm sure it'll give it a go.

I actually had a dream about the launch night of this game. That's how excited I am - I dreamed about the day before it was released ffs! DAMN YOU, INTENET, YOU RUINED MY IMAGINATION!

What a coincidence that he picked 2 PS3 exclusive games...
I don't think he's seeing lag that isn't there, I think he's just trolling because this is a multiplatform game.

Remember, you can only have 3 of these killstreaks at any one time. As in, you have to pick in advance which 3 you'd like to have.
So I don't think there'll be too much going on, especially as the better ones require a ridiculous amount of kills.

So its going to be a good game, then?

Anyone care to explain the disagrees? Nekkid chicks are somehow...bad? Eh?

Yes, lets all blame Microsoft. It's entirely their fault.

Actually, no, it's not. Or at the very least, they are no more to blame than Square Enix themselves.
Lets face it - why did Microsoft want FFXIII on the 360 so much? To compete with Sony. Why are they competing? Because at the end of the day, they want money. They want YOUR money, they want Sony's money, they just want money. They're a business, its what they do.

But what about Square Enix? Why do they m...

To be honest, there's no reason why they couldn't do it on EITHER platform. After all, Microsoft is big on DLC, so why not offer Japanese audio as a free DLC option at launch? That way, everyone's happy.

As far as I'm concerned, anything "missing" from the game is down to Squeenix being lazy.

They would need a patch for sure. Remember, RE5 had no way of controlling your target other than the analogue sticks. this means that at best, Sony would have to map the motion control inputs to arbitrary analogue stick movement. Not as easy as it sounds and very...clumsy to use.
On the other hand, it's comparatively easy for Capcom to patch in the controls themselves, it's pretty easy to change one form of input to another when you have the source code handy.
On the other hand, s...

So let me get this straight - Sony shows off the motion controller working with a first party game (littlebigplanet) and a third party game (resident evil 5) and it's all wonderful and brilliant and such.
But at E3, Microsoft shows Natal working with a first party game (that breakout style one) and a third party game (Burnout Paradise) and yet it's only "Possibility"?
As far as I can see, both companies are on equal footing. They've both demonstrated the technologies th...

How widespread is the problem? I mean it sold 2million copies in like 2 days, so if like 1000 people are having a problem, that's still only like 0.05%. I live with 4 other people, 3 of whom (as well as myself) all have ODST and all are working fine. I have 2 other friends we've been playing with and they've been fine. Just how big is the problem?
