There's this ridiculous bronze trophy in Twisted Metal where you have to be at a certain rank online or something... plus one for winning a battle every single day for 30 days straight, you can tell they wanted to encourage crazy people to play the game constantly, which is pretty innovative in keeping your online presence booming, but for the rest of us it's just nuts. We have jobs, girlfriends, and a life to get back to... well some of us anyway lol
Most of these games are for PC, in other words, none will sell well if it isn't on a console. The only games on PC that have sold well in the last 8 years are WoW, Starcraft, Elder Scrolls games, Diablo 3, and Sims games. Everything else gets torrented beyond belief, to the point where they can't sell more than a few hundred thousand copies - and they're well established franchises.
Horror stuff isn't exactly the play it safe stuff put out by publishers. Since...
He eats more than his hat, he's wrong about just about everything he says. I have never heard one thing come out of his mouth that was true, or came true. He has zero credibility, and people only watch his videos to entertain themselves as they watch a person come up with even dumber predictions than they're capable of.
lol yes, the titles are multi-platform, but really who cares. The bigger issue is that the reason no one is talking about these games is because about 1% of people have heard about them, and the rest of us just sortof said "meh" when we saw them at one point or another.
Let's hope the marketing budget on these games is going towards actual development so they actually turn out decent and get some good critical acclaim, that's the least this industry can do f...
This article reads like it was written by someone who didn't graduate high school... non-facts, bad grammar and sentence structure, and ending the article without actually making a point or coming to a coherent conclusion. Voted down! This garbage has no place on this website.
WWE is basically screwed, there would be no point in spending even more money on a team of lawyers to sue a company that has no money and is going through bankruptcy. All WWE would be able to prove is that it is owed money, it doesn't guarantee it will get paid as this is how it goes with bankruptcy.
Wow not another back water developer not knowing that to take full advantage of the PS3's GPU 550 MHz NVIDIA RSX 'Reality Synthesizer' in post processing is to throw all post processing on the CPU 3.2 GHz Cell Broadband Engine with 1 PPE & 6 SPEs, making the GPU much more powerful than a 500 MHz ATI Xenos.
And guess what ladies... he's single!
Targeting higher FPS means you can't push as many polygons, can't run as advanced algorithms for AI, there will be less going on overall at 60FPS because your engine needs to process it all that fast. You will still see some games at 720p, others will be 30FPS, but will have more complexities that go beyond surface level things like FPS. It's all about trade offs, some games that are fast paced need the 60 FPS, others are slower paced and don't need it, as a developer you need...
Well hey, Dead Island has a Game of the Year edition that included a few bucks of DLC. This game has one DLC mission where you kill Hitler that didn't cost that much, I can't imagine printing more copies of this game with that one inexpensive mission that you can probably just get along with the original copy of the game for less money.
The game that needs a complete edition is Mass Effect 3, what a big ripoff all its DLC is, for a few hours of entertainment that was...
LOL the garbage logic used in this article almost made me piss myself.
Besides, the reason this console cycle hasn't resulted in PS2 sales, is because the PS2 fanbase has been divided, with one half buying 360's and the other buying PS3's. In October the 360 just hit 70 million, around the same time the PS3 hit the same mark. Microsoft did an unbelievable job dividing the market and spending billions on marketing and exclusive rights in order to do it.
Games we want that will likely never happen? Another Metal Gear starring the young Solid Snake - except one that actually made sense like MGS1.
How about an actual good WWE game that isn't filled with glitches and the same problems that have plagued WWE games for years?
They wanted to appeal to gay guys and metrosexuals aka "The audience Spike TV left behind".
Please, those people have a million shows they can watch - every show girls watch.
If you're a gamer now you're stuck with the sorry excuse that is Spike TV.
This guy is the biggest moron, doesn't understand the industry at all, doesn't understand trends, doesn't understand why gamers buy one game over another, doesn't understand why people buy one console over another, his opinion is irrelevant and he really should just be fired for his idiocy. When you're an analyst and you always get it wrong, you either get fired or people just stop listening to you. I can't believe this guy is still employed other than that people want...
Microsoft is pushing the 360, not the PC for some reason. They're separate divisions so apparently the 360 division was nuts about no other platform releasing before the 360, and so the PC version was set back as well.
For any idiots out there who think the developers of Skyrim had anything to do with Dishonored, you're just dumb. Skyrim devs are incompetent and can't figure out the PS3, while Dishonoured devs rock the house and made a game pretty much on par wit...

@ Zuperman
Then you aren't the target market for this article, I mean hello.
If you don't own a PS3 or a 360, they're dirt cheap now, have been redesigned 2 and 3 times over, and are running at their most efficient in terms of electricity, and have an enormous library of games. There was a reason to complain when both consoles were 500 and 600 dollars, now they're less than half that price in most places.
Besides, has anyone asked th...
Well hey, Forbes has its fanboys too, don't expect any objective journalism out of that dying magazine.
Well yeah, releasing a game unfinished is bad. Just look at movie games that are made within less than a year.
The unfortunate thing is that it's always a business decision, you need to calculate how much you're spending on development, and whether spending the money is worth making a game 1% better. Release dates need to be strategically timed too, lets just say if you release next to Call of Duty, Halo, GTA, and Metal Gear Solid, your game isn't going to sell well, howe...
In case anyone doesn't know anything about game development, it takes 3 months to manufacture a game of this magnitude. That means the game would be just about complete this month, in which case we would have at least seen or heard something about it. Most analysts are speculating April or later anyway, but really with so many great games coming out February and March, who cares?
