lol @ above ^
If you live always caring if people can anonymously troll the internet and disagree with you, you won't get much done.
lol I know right.
At least this girl, or at least I think the author is a girl, has some sense. Having the option to play as a female is fine if it's appropriate, but do we need the option to play as females during the vietnam or second world war when it would detract from historical accuracy? Do we need to play as a female race car driver, as if that really makes a difference with the helmet and jump suit? Like the author says, females should be included where it's appropria...
Dice has no reason to compromise its business of overcharging people for maps - they know that gamers are willing to bend over and take it up the ass spending 60 bucks just on a few more map packs and a few more guns, and a few other perks no one cares about, so of course they're not going to give access to the source code and allow mods before they release all DLC, that's just smart business. They're in the business of making money, this is EA we're talking about, the company...
The only thing in the black will be Activision's balance sheet from the gazillion dollars they bring in, only to go towards that asshole CEO Bobby Kotick's bonus. F him and his milking of every franchise into a downward spiral, which is exactly what his greedy ass did with Guitar Hero, and just wait till it happens with Call of Duty.
For years and years they sold Guitar Hero by the truckload, just like CoD, took their bonuses, and got greedy and over-saturated the mar...
Once again, super nerdy gamers have to argue semantics, the most pointless argument of all, and go on and on about developer vs publisher, and who is a developer and who is a publisher, and get completely off topic, wasting everyone's time.
Yes, Konami is a publisher, and yes, it pays developers to develop games, and its function is to finance, market and distribute the game.
Now that we have that cleared up - every Metal Gear ever made, plus Zone of the...
Female gamers do exist, they're called casual gamers, and they are the market that has been growing as per the article's statistics. They have grown because of the Wii explosion of popularity, the explosion of minigame facebook popularity, but I'm sure if you're reading this, you're neither of those things.
Casual gamers don't read gaming sites, and they don't read reviews. They play what their friends are playing, and what gets marketed to them o...
Sounds like this douchebag author is just butthurt that he sucks at games.
People who hate God of War hate it for this reason - they're pussies and they suck at it.
People who hated Dead Space? They're pussies and they suck at it (and they're too stupid to know how to adjust brightness settings apparently lol).
People who hated Grand Theft Auto? They suck at it, and they have ADD so they can't get anything done in the story...
Whether this will look anything even close to this with the PS3/360 remake remains to be seen. Although mods definitely make some things better, particularly the fact that the screenshots are likely running way higher than 1080P to look so crisp.
lol I know right, an easter egg which refers to a previous easter egg.
I liked how there is an easter egg conversation which I know of but never actually found successfully, a conversation in MGS3 via codec, you need to call right after fighting Ocelot, and you get information about Ocelot, that he was born on a battlefield, the same battlefield The Boss gave birth at, same year, which was the confirmation that Ocelot is The Boss' son.
lol this author has more pot head logic than a conspiracy theorist high on crack. Number of days since an announcement has nothing to do with anything, game releases are dependent on how long it takes to write code and polish a game, not some random mumbo jumbo. Voted Down!
The author doesn't get it - videogames are not a physical addiction, they're a mental addiction. Thus, just like all other mental addictions, it has to do with brain chemicals, and how the brain rewards you for your achievements, actions, behaviours etc.
As it turns out, MMO's have extremely high rewards for your brain in terms of achievement, comradery, a sense of improving, exploring, challenging your skills to the utmost of your ability, improving on those skills, thes...
I know right - only the install bases are the highest for current gen games, unleashing new consoles will take away from total sales of software as people will have to shell out a ton of money for new hardware. This means they will have less money to buy current gen games as well as next gen. Keeping current gen consoles and making fantastic games will net the highest software increase, however if Sony and Microsoft can't turn a profit on consoles they may be in trouble financially (espec...
Parents are to blame for their ugly, shit head child from committing acts of stupidity, violence, and whatever other crap they're capable of.
Parents don't want to assume responsibility, they're lazy, stupid and largely incompetent, especially the ones who are looking to blame rap music, comic books, rock and roll music, videogames and movies for their kid's actions (all of which have been scapegoats if you know your history)
lol @ iamnsuperman^
What he's referring to is the evolution of not the special effects, but the entire package, and as a package The Dark Knight is far more advanced in terms of action, acting, screen play and every other aspect you can think of. It's got all the aspects of modern film making that make films great, whereas when you look back at Batman with Adam West it appears extremely dated, just the same way the current gen will look dated when you look back on it ...
The 360 version had a few smaller problems, but the PS3 version had a few more. Also, Microsoft charges a ton of money to publishers just to do one patch, and you can only do one patch per game, that's Microsoft's stupid rule that got Gabe Newell so mad at them with Portal 2, thus he embraced the freedom of patches with PS3, as they could be as big in size and as numerous as the dev wanted, and they didn't get charged up the ass for it either.
Yeah hopefully they still have enough people with enough vision to make something really great. When you have personnel changes you can see certain changes, just look at all 5 God of War games, all with different directors, and you can see how the vision changes through each title, sometimes the changes are more subtle than others, but the next Batman game will have a mountain to climb, similarly with the 3 movies by Chris Nolan, the third definitely has Mount Everest to top.
With the right marketing campaign you can sell anything, you just need to tailor your message to your audience, something Sony has had troubles doing for the longest time.
But really, Sony has reached a wider audience with the ICO collection HD remakes, so with right amount of hype (not too much), they'll sell a good amount of copies. I think Sony is a big fan of the what the Dev team has created, so they're more willing to give them help. If this was another team th...
lol Metal Gear Solid 3 was easy, I play it on the hardest difficulty every time I go through it and it's still a good challenge if you're a thinking man, but if you're a simpleton who is used to run and gunning with no strategy (cough CoD... cough) then of course you're going to get your ass whipped lol
Yeah it is weird, although it says something about the efficiency of Platinum games and the shallow stories they create, to make time for actually designing the game. Konami spent 1 year on just formulating the story, Platinum games did it in 2 weeks, no fuss no muss. Quite frankly a game like this doesn't need a super involved crazy nonsense story like what happened with MGS 2 and parts of MGS 4, Konami needs to wake up when it comes to story telling. Their stories make no sense regardle...
He's just the producer, so it doesn't mean the game will be cancelled per se. It's possible that he has been replaced by someone else since Sony sent an entire team to help that team get The Last Guardian out the door.
Also, no patch is necessary for SOTC, you just need to look up youtube videos of the best way to beat each colossus if you're stuck, you'll get the best strategy on what to do and when to get in on time.
