After playing it at PAX the gameplay feels alot like Call of Duty, except with Mechs and more mobility

Games like CoD and BF3 thrived off of Multiplayer anyway, the single-player was mostly filler to a lot of players

TF cates to the multiplayer military FPS that dominated this generation. I question how far it can live off just multiplayer, but for what I and other played it's really fun and gives you a sense of being in the action

I wonder how many would've sold if there wasn't a demo at PAX. My experience with it and watching others was that it was a fun game with depth and personal character. It's very likely those who bought it wanted to buy it on launch day anyway.

Realize if they didn't sell out then this wouldn't be a positive article, but a negative one talking about how the game will stand no chance on market if they can't sell 404 at a gaming convention

I'm sure MS paid oodles of cash to ensure Minecraft stays on Xbox and away from Sony/Nintendo for a long time

My hope for whoever makes the next StarFox goes for a more darker, serious route (think snes Star Fox).

I want my characters to be seasoned veterens, you can have some moments of light heartedness, but for the most part I would love for the game to be hard and fast. I guess you could say to bring it back to its roots (no weird control schemes or gameplay mechanics ala StarFox Command).

Historically it seems anytime a game series originates on PC and begins to be popular and developed with console gamers in mind is met by backlash from the PC community. PC's for the longes time have had control over power and scope of games (ie number of players in a match). With PS4 matching high end PC's in power and taking on 32+ players in an online match, PC's dominance has shrunk substantially, they are beginning to lose their grip of being the "dedicated gaming experi...

Any excuse to go back to Rapture is a good one.

Seeing how Bioshock 2 wasn't made by Irrational it will be nice to see how Kev Levine tackles his second journey to Rapture (the original is the Rapture we know and love)

People are forgetting it's marketed towards young children, from around 5-8 years old. Some parents don't want to spend a bunch of money on a gaming handheld, especially if there is the concern of breakage (I wouldn't be surprised if the 2DS could survive a few hammer blows).

The 2DS is a cheap alternative to the 3DS, you can play the same games, just not in 3D. For all we know the 2DS is just a start, I wouldn't be surprised if the 2DS becomes a success and...

I really want to get my hands on the DualShock4. I've never been too fond of the DualShock controllers, but there sounds to be some good improvements that may change my mind.

I love the part when he talks about how a 6-7 year old (the target audience), when he/she gets a 2DS for Christmas thinks "Wow, what cheap parents". Well if it's either a 2DS or a 0DS the choice seems pretty clear

The problem is the whole "fee to play" model they try (note the word "try") to force on you. They're saying "Hey, this game is free to play...but we're going to barrage you with so many limitations and pay walls you feel like crap until you finally cave in".

And you make a good point, when a game is free you shouldn't complain about what they throw at you because hey, it's free. But at the same time it's rediculous the amoun...

Because they don't want to price cut the 3DS, because they don't need to.

Nintendo tried to identify a potential market. The thinking is parents don't want to spend a bunch of money on a gaming handheld, especially if it has the possibility to break. There are also some parents who may be wary of 3D on small children (effects are inconclusive). The 2DS is a cheap alternative that is less prone to break from play and abuse that still plays the games their childre...

It's an SKU designed for Children, i.e. 7 year olds and younger

If you don't like it chances are you're above 8 years of age

People are complaining/making fun of a SKU designed for children.

I'm not sure what's more childlike, who the 2DS is marketed for, or the people who are against it

It's in the same spirit as 3D Land, hence the 3D in "3D World"

It's a lot smaller than I had envisioned. It's obviously designed for children (note the word CHILDREN) in mind (good luck breaking it through daily use), still has the camera. I can see it selling more than a few units.

With the slate children can throw it all they like and there will be little risk of breakage. Nintendo makes resiliant consoles/handhelds, good luck breaking that through general use.

The 2DS is marketed to Children, while the tablet look could've been better, it's supposed to be a cheap alternative. 6 year olds don't care about how it looks, as long as they get fun games to play it could be in the shape of a dildo for all they care (not that they would make a d...

Nintendo still needs to release a Killer App for the WiiU. I'm talking about Mario World 3D, Mario Kart 8, Smash 4, games everyone remembers from the Wii/3DS but now on WiiU (basically the games that made them oodles of cash this gen).

If they can get an effective marketing campaign together the WiiU will be a success, maybe not compared to X1 or PS4, but still a success.

If you have a Vita and a PS4 can you use the Vita as a second player screen? Or is there not enough resources for it?
