The 1st one was great, I enjoyed the 2nd even more, and the third was disappointing. They should've stuck with the 2D hand drawn style instead of the 3D style imo, the original style felt more mature visually and made for better looking environments (the DS just wasn't strong enough). Also didn't help it was super easy, the out of battle PP gain was set too high. To me it was an amateur effort far below its predecessors.
The series had a great blend of classic j...
Cube World is a bit interesting.
For one it was never labeled a full game release, but rather an Alpha where you could "invest" now and end up paying less than others in the Beta and Final release.
2nd, for being an initial build it was quite substantial. You had infite size worlds and diverse Characters and enemies, a mission system and a solid base infrastructure. If you ask people who played it I'm sure it exceeded their expectations for ...
Everyone knows Cranky Kong AI is the future
It exists, Nintendo just never advertises it (for some reason)
It's one of the Gamepad's more innovative features no one talks about, probably because everyone forgot it exists
Inb4 remarks about stock shortages
If Nintendo can keep releasing stellar titles and having a great deal every now and again the WiiU should sell nicely. It doesn't have to be Black Friday or Christmas for there to be a good deal.
It's a great time to pick up past titles you haven't played yet. I've been hammering away at New Vegas and Xenoblade myself
Luckily you can find Orange Box for sub $20
I got Xenoblade for myself this Christmas. Only about three more days
My first thought was "dang, not one PS4 or X1 game?" then I realized those consoles don't exist there yet (article doesn't clarify it's just for Japan until the end)
3DS still king (what a surprise :P)
New Super Mario Bros U has sold over 2 million. Oh wait, I forgot, we aren't calling WiiU next-gen (despite being stronger than last gen with it's own special capabilities not seen last gen)
People want Nintendo to work with third parties in order to increase the appeal of the WiiU. Well here's one
I remember one of those articles. Talked about how normal consoles were all restricted and stuck in the past, and how Ouya was magically going to do amazing things other consoles couldn't
Felt like self gratifying spin to me. I could care less about it (I have a laptop for emulators)
Considering this was the worst CoD in a long time they really blew it. They took advantage of their playerbase and gave new players a bad impression of EA/BF.
I thought the Kevin Pereira rant was well constructed. What's really sad is BF4 is an amazing game... when it works. The thing is the average person doesn't want a sportcar that won't start 50% of the time

I already own and have played every one, except for Other M, Nintendo won't make another damn 2D Metroid so I have to wait for Retro
Metroidvanina is my favorite game genres, I got Shadow Complex on the genre alone (plus it's a good game)
The only thing to remotely challenge consoles is the Steam Box, just because it potentially gives PC's something consoles have always held above them, being a focal point of entertainment in your house, something multiple people can join in on. When you play on mobiles or computers it's one person to one machine, very few games encourage people to huddle around a computer where consoles have easy access to the Living Room TV and couches.
Let's be honest, while c...
I don't own a PS4 or an X1 and I have no rush to buy one. The only system I would remotely have an impulse to get is WiiU, just because of how amazing Mario 3D World is (94% average rating), but even then I don't feel rushed.
A big reason I'm in no rush is there are hardly any games coming out solely for next/current gen that are must have. I own a Wii and a 360 and if I really had to buy a console it would be PS3. There is a huge library I have yet to touch, a...
Or Jobs or School. All just distractions to what's really important
Best thing about the Wii is I can use it to watch Netflix without having to pay additional fees
Plus I just got Metroid Prime Trilogy and Xenoblade Chronicles so I;m set
That is too much
There's still hope for Mega Man
I was surprised when they had them for free, at least a week after I bought them for $5 off Steam
