The combat is repetitive, enemy variety is somewhat slim, barren environments (there can be a lot of unused space or uninspired areas), weird difficulty (can be hard or easy at weird times).
From what I've seen it's nothing too special, the concept is cool and it looks good but not noteworthy in terms of gameplay. Overall it's about a 6, 7 if you are forgiving. Some people will find it fun, others just off the mark from being remarkable.
Imagine if Nintendo or Naughty Dog had gotten ahold of it. A lot of missed potential
Review Scores aren't based on a fun scale of 0-10, they're based on story, controls, creativity, and then fun. A lot of people are saying "Knack got 6/10 but I found it fun, how dare they". It's alright you think the game is fun and worth $60 for you, but the review isn't based on your scale of fun.
I think it's funny when people say review scores don't matter only to get offended when a game they like recieves a lesser score. It's one ...
From the sound of it Knack is bland and repetitive. You look at Crash or Mario and they have true platforming elements: colorful varied levels, wide cast of distinct enemies, environmental hazards. And while it's not a true platformer compare it to games like Darksiders and ask if it's on the same type of gameplay. Plus Crash and even Sly Cooper had a certain humor to it, it didn't take itself seriously
Standards have change since the playstation 1/2 days. Despi...
PlayStation Foreplay
I'd totally ask to get the Blue one. Toad is the ****
When was the last time Bungie failed us? Unless you're talking about Halo 2 campaign or some other personal issue I don't see any significant damage done by them. Also when you consider the game's development history and the effort put into concept and scope I don't see them cutting corners
Unless Activision goes ape**** on the development I have faith
When I look at the current graphic level and how 1080p is still a challenge for most it tells me there is still room to grow. Until there is a generation where games can get fully realistic environment 1:1 to real life there will be another gen. Games like Killzone:SF look amazing but there is always more to be done
Also there will be a time when something like Occulus Rift is in every console at the 400-500 price range( O.R. and console combined)
You see...
Could you imagine having to Ctrl+C and Ctrl+V for every asset? You'd have to go back to each ModernWarfare and pick the best ones
Are we really gonna have to settle for day one patches for every game now? I'd love to open the box and jump right in
It will be interesting to see the results. While the PS4 is the overall better system on paper (price, paid online service, volume and debateable quality of exclusives) you would be foolish to underestimate the power of the Xbox brand to the average person
I predict gamers will pick PS4 decisively over X1, but the wild card is the general consumer base. Don't expect MS to take this lying down on the advertisment end.
Halo 4 was fun but disappointing, at least compared to Reach. Multiplayer was missing game modes, you had to have Gold to play Spartan Ops, going from a Credit to a tiered/objective based unlcok system was a step back imo, bland Slayer maps (5-6 maps either brown or white in scheme).
The Campaign was great and looked great, but the multiplayer was nowhere near the caliber of Bungie's. Multiplayer was a solid effort, but I lost interest quickly. Leaving things out like ...
I'd love to see Banjo and Kazooie beat the s*** out of the other fighters. Comboing attacks between the two would be a sight to behold
I played the Mega Man ZX games for DS and I loved every minute of them. The transformations, the exploration, the retro feel and entire experience was enjoyable.
I played Mega Man X as well, the whole series is just good classic side-scrolling shooting fun.
Maybe with Mighty9 and MegaMan on Smash4 Capcom will realize how liked the whole MegaMan "experience" is. It may not be the best-selling franchise, but it's a sure way to keep dedicated f...
RIP Banjo
Luckily they released the original two
He laughed in response to when a remake was being made for MM, as in "yeah, it will be a long time before that happens".
Wind Waker HD was to tide people over until the true next Zelda. They knew thay could remake Wind Waker with a smaller group of people while the large group is on the next Zelda.
WWHD was a once in a long time thing, they knew fans couldn't wait for a new Zelda so they did WWHD.
It will be a long time b...
From Rockstar, when they let him review GTA5
After playing it at PAX I'd say so. It certainly plays like CoD, but with mechs and more freedom of movement
It's multiplayer only, a fun military shooter that knows its audience. However we've seen what happens when games try to imitate and surpass CoD. The game does have enough hype and praise to give it a chance, however the CoD brand is just so powerful it lives off name alone
This whole situation can be compared to Mystique from X-Men. Her normal form is essentially nude, but since she spends most of her time in a combat or everyday attire when she does her dirty work it doesn't matter. The moment she turn into Wolverine there are no concern whether she's unprepared visually (because she's now Wolverine)
I think it's kind of dumb this character is getting so much attention because she has a bikini top for her torso wear. If this ...
First of all, I wouldn't call Knack a platform, more of a brawler like Darksiders. Just because you are a shooter doesn't mean you automatically get you great scores, Killzone SF is averaging 7's despite looking amazing and being an FPS
The levels and enemies are uninspired, one moment you cruise through enemies like they're nothing, next moment you get killed instantly. The game had potential but the devs decided to play it safe. This isn't 1999, it'...
