Quite a few of these interviewees aren't paid to think, they're paid to talk. My belief is they're trained to give only specific responses, that if they are ever asked questions they just read from the notecard. I can't help but think of the Youtube video of the kid who, when asked about his favorite part of the fair replies "I like Turtles".
I swear some interviews are like Magic Eight Balls. You ask a question and intead of getting a real answer ...
So everyone thinks the Xboz One is a retro fitted Xbox?
Did Apple have a hard time explaining the iPad mini?
Yeah, didn't think so
Nintendo just needs to put a big ass label that says "Plays 3DS games" and people will get the idea. It has 2D in the name, just need to put a little thought into it. If people buy things without looking at then there will be a problem, But I think a lot of people check to see what they're buying first
Early 2012 my brother said he had a skin code . I didn't ask what it was, and he gave me the code online. I assumed it was a random skin code from the previous PAX. Turned out it was PAX TF, which sells for hundreds of dollars
Power to the players (did I really just say that?)
The WindWaker HD bundle is a great deal (at least I think it is)
It's a cheaper alternative that caters to the Tablet crowd. As long as people don't think it's a new system or buy it unknowingly when they want 3D then it will be a smart move (and since it says 2DS it obviously doesn't have 3D). Some parents would love to save money if they could
In a world of Ipad mini's and XL's it's just another alternative.
People are going to think this is a new system and wonder why they just got a 3DS when now there is a 2DS. Unless Ninty can easily show it's just a 3DS without 3D people are going to be confused.
I get what Ninty is trying to do, offer a cheaper 3DS that can still play the same games, but consumers might just get confused and walk away
At best Nintendo sells some and makes money, at worse people begin to loathe them. It also looks really weird, almo...
Either strong gamer PC's are much stronger than the PS4, or they didn't optimize it for the PS4 as well as they should. And this is for the PS4, Xbox One might be slightly worse as well
I'm assuming they didnt optimize
The WiiU WindWaker box is glorious. The new price with the special gamepad and game makes the WiiU very attractive, just in time for Christmas and beyond
EA is perfectly fine with only making games for MS and Sony. They know making games for Nintendo is a risk, and that as long as they continue what they're doing they will make a profit.
They're afraid to try on the WiiU becausse they don't want to actually invest money and have no one buy the game.
In other terms, they don;t want to go in the water because they're afraid it might be too cold or too hot, want to stay on dry land where it...
Imagine getting exclusive deals with Sonic and then MegaMan. He's in Smash 4, who knows?
The Vita is doing more for itself than the PS4. Do you think people are going to buy a PS4 then buy a Vita because you can play your PS4 games on it? No, people are going to buy a Vita for the features and a great library at a great price.
The only way I see the PS4 helping is people buy PS4, trust Sony products, then value a Vita with that trust over other products. But in the end it's going to be the innate value to price that helps the Vita. No one want to pay $200 ...
The winner had 15%? Must have been pretty close. I have to say I'm a bit surprised at the selection, PC users must have come out in full force, or at least had the most for one game
It's nice to see Nintendo begin to step up into the modern age
I wonder how many games are on both kinds of systems
Business is usually gauged by fiscal years, which ends in March. 6 million in a month would be an insane amount
I'll only be there Saturday, but my hope is to squeeze in every last second.
It will be my first, can't wait (I've been wanting to go for the past 4-5 years)
You're right, Nintendo has yet to release a Killer App for the WiiU. Until we see what happens to Smash and Mario Kart (games with the biggest appeal) we can't say 100% what the WiiU's future is
Nintendo's biggest problem atm (other than games) is the lack of product awareness. People still think the gamepad is just a peripheral for the Wii. They need some heavy marketing so when the heavy hitters show up people will instantly think of and reach for a WiiU. ...
Making completely uninformed assumptions only makes you look bad. There is quite a bit of content and a surprising amount of depth to the story and combat. You have to see the game to believe it
And no I haven't played it, but I have seen the Direct and multiple articles on it.
At first look you think it's a game for kids, but then the game shows itself as a Core experience with alot of difficulty. Not the easiest game to market (or maybe it is)
Yes they were. They had a presentation on how to port games to the WiiU (esecially for Indies, but not just them), as well as some games on floor, but nothing new
Nintendo has nothing to show until next year, probably at the January Direct
Take any basic pyschology course and you will learn no action or behavior is the result of one factor, it's a combination of several environmental and personal factors.
