If you want a game to transcend mere entertainment value, yes
Imagine Bioshock without Andrew Ryan, or the story of Rapture. Sure the gameplay would've been fun, but it is the dynamic the characters and backstory which brings Bioshock on a deeper and more sophisticated level than just a Shooter with pretty visuals
Even though it had no vocal dialogue, I believe the atmosphere and value of Metroid Prime was enhanced through the use of Logs. Yes the gra...
But can they do HD Towns in Mechs? That's the important question
(Also what instance are you referring to with SE?)
Must go deeper..
3 layers, 75GB, Disception
Do you think you've capitalized enough letters yet?
This is what I fear for the WiiU, great hardware and potential, but no drive for 3rd party to support it. It's tough when you care about something that doesn't get the attention and love you think (and probably rightfully) it deserves. Even though I don't own a Vita or have deep affection for Sony, it does have a lot of features that don't look to be taken advantage of yet
I hope mentioning the name "WiiU" didn't turn people off, but I do see a...
While it may not be "Xenoblade", it is most likely a "Xeno-" branded game (seeing how they went Xeno-saga to Xeno-blade)
Still no Timesplitters
I really hope Miyamoto ends his career with a new IP (would be sad to see him ending his days with another Mario/Zelda, despite how good it would be). Nintendo has relied on their 1st party titles for long enough, 3rd party is where Nintendo is going to gain their new flair.
I would urge Nintendo to do more with like what they're doing with Bayonetta 2 and Xenoblade, take franchises that aren't necessarily their own but support them like they are their new franchise...
"This just in, major THQ properties in the sale have been obtained by Nintendo"
Now wouldn't that be funny (or sad)
Good News. I've been getting tired of the same 5-8 maps for awhile now (only been playing for about a month). Hopefully they will introduce more game modes next, like King of the Hill (there's a commendation already in the game), Grifball, Multi-man, etc. Halo 4 multiplayer seems incomplete atm
Seeing what 360 and PS3 got, I really hope WiiU becomes more than just the only way to play Nintendo games. There is a lot of potential with the WiiU, if only more developers took the risk (after what happened to many Wii 3rd party titles, I'm not surprised at current skepticism). My hope is Nintendo will release a graphically focused AAA title that says WiiU is "Next Gen" power-wise, and more developers will take it seriously
We all know 1st party titles will b...
The problem with LIVE is that it's a "one size fits all" approach. They give you a bunch of features you don't want with features you do want and slap on a premium price. The greatest thing they could do with the next gen is let people choose certain features for a price.
With Xbox having a multi-media focus currently (and I would assume beyond), having a gaming package (online play+ free games/deals), a media package (last fm, youtube, Zune HD, misc) and a ...
Nintendo should really create a new IP. Something special and unique that shows off the WiiU's capabilities, both in power and functionality. While releasing core franchises is a must, WiiU won't feel like a true console until that fresh and unique game is released. Miyamoto almost never disappoints
And here I am on Xbox Live Gold, getting features I don't want at a price I really don't want to pay (which is why I go through third parties for a cheaper price)
I would glady trade half of my features for a free game very month. In fact, leave online play, Netflix, and give me a game a month (is it week for +?)and I'll be good.
It's official guys and gals, Microsoft has dropped Windows in favor of Linux.
Seriously, do some actual research before making a story.
Everyone is afraid to release games on Nintendo home consoles, which is a shame. Wii became a death trap because of a lack of cutting edge graphics and a first year dominated solely by party games. Bayonetta 2 will be the first test, that while still published by Nintendo, is from a team based in Xbox and PS, a series not birthed on Nintendo
It's a self-fulfilling prophecy really. Games don't sell because there isn't the audience, there isn't an audience becau...
I think you mean "saved"
The thing is Pikmin 3 will be Nintendo's first Core title, not to be released until later this year (Hopefully by March or April). ZombiU, ports of 360/PS3 games, and NintendoLand are all fine and dandy, but until Nintendo releases core franchises there won't be a general rush for WiiU from all groups. As of now the WiiU isn't a Nintendo console, it's a console with Nintendo's name on it.
Until Nintendo supports it with First party titles it just isn'...
The coolest thing they could do is have an extensive overworld with random events, changing conversations among villagers, and have more things to do outside of dungeons ala Elder Scrolls and Fallout. Many towns seem dull once you've been everywhere, and soon "Hyrule Field" becomes a large empty space you've had to cross for the umpteenth time with no variation, it would be nice to not have dungeons contain all the secrets. A larger scope would be nice, use the WiiU's gr...
My only guess is that there hasn't been much of a new incentive to buy one. Can't think of many new, amazing games that have come out for it in the last few weeks.
