He thought it was alright (based on the few statements from the article, I mean I can't really confirm what he thought since I'm not him).
Probably Fall. The Spring launch rumor was pretty much shot down, and Summer is usually pretty slow. No one really knows, it could be anywhere from Spring (around April-May) to the end of the year. Most companies take several months from announced release to actual release. The time window from E3 to Mario 3D World was about 5-6 months
"The Year of the Attack", sequel to "The Year of Luigi"
The Boss fight at the end was very impressive. Not only the details on the demon but the surrounding city and the weather. And to think this is just a normal boss, the Devs promised every boss fight will feel like a final boss fight. Just to think of what else is in the game.
Also worth mentioning was the liberal show of skin and blood, Nintendo didn't hold them back one bit (not that I thought they would, but others might be wary)
Took me about two seconds to guess Nintendo
I'm sure their games being less technical helps, plus Nintendo has always held quality to its highest regard.
What gets me is how some of these glitches can get past over by the devs (or simply ignored). You would think Bethesda would've encountered and fixed what seems like common glitches, but I'm sure a lot of these publishers have strict release schedules.

My guess is these kinds of games are known to be a success on handhelds but risky for consoles. An example would be Animal Crossing:New Leaf. It very well could've been made for WiiU, but with how popular pick up and play games can be on handhelds it was almoast a no brainer to release on a handheld (the concept lends perfectly to handhelds)
This game would've been a nice addition to the WiiU. Why they won't create a WiiU version later is probably because of wha...
No reps from Super Mario 3D World? For shame :P
It's nice to see the talented people behind games' amazing storylines get recognition. These people could've gone with books or movies but instead they choose our amazing medium. Come a long ways since the "Retro Years"
I remember the Jurassic Park Arcade Shooter, where you would get in the mock jeep with the big screen. Maybe it was just me, I but I thought it was pretty scary since it had that House of the Dead feel to it (it was dark, had gore, and was tense)
One of the scariest and most used horror concepts is the hunter, some creature or being who hunts the protagonist. One of the best scenes in Jurassic Park is the raptors in the kitchen, replicating that moment with different types ...
Claiming the weaker power of the 360 only allows for 12 players and mechs seems foolish, even moreso is the belief the limitation would transfer to PC's and X1. Battlefield 4 allows for 24 players on the 360 with much bigger maps, vehicles, and destructible environments while still looking great, I think on PC you can get up to 64.
It's a conscious design choice, you will hardly notice a difference
Oh man you have to play it. The game is well worth the inflated price at Gamestop. I've put in 38 hours and I still have a plenty to go (I still have several areas left and I'm at level 40, enemies reach level 100). Not to mention there are 480 quests and I've only done about 100 of them.
If they can retain what made Xenoblade so amazing while expanding on its few shortcomings it will be a GOTY contender (Xenoblade averaged 92%)
A lot of people claiming 12 max isn't enough probably haven't even played the game. I played a match at PAX and I did not even notice the player limit, I could hardly tell the difference between player and NPC and I didn't care. Why? Because playing the game with headphones and in front of an HD TV was pure excitement. All the 12 player limit does is prevent you from getting more than 12 friends or professional competitors in a single match.

I could buy 78,000 PS4's
Money well spent
It's not bad to have a lot of people. But there are people who think having only 6v6 makes it less of a game, which isn't necessarily true. It's easy as an observer to say "more is better" or "6v6 is too low" but unless you are the one actually developing the game such statements are to an extent unfounded.
Once people start playing the game most of them won't care or even notice. Does having only 6v6 ruin the fun of getting 13+ friends o...
I think it's sad games need to have the highest of everything to be worthy. A game can't just be fun, it has to have 60 fps, 1080p, PC level graphics and 32v32 multiplayer (at least for an FPS).
I played TitanFall at PAX and I did not notice the smaller player pool. Quite frankly I couldn't tell the difference between AI and player on my initial run, and I didn't really care. Playing this game on a big HD TV and headphones was an amazing experience

I'm not too surprised by this. Jonathon as a developer trying to make a living wants as much exposure/sales as he can get, all he needs is for MS to say "yeah you can release on X1 with little resitrictions" and his side of the deal is done. If such a deal would give MS even a small amount of money and prevent losing potential customers (the more quality games the more desirable a console becomes) then they are set as well.

If you sell in the millions and don't turn a profit then there must be a problem with the Dev/Publishing process. Not saying developers are money hungry or anything along those lines, but somewhere in the creation process something cost more money than it should
I wouldn't be surprised if the tech and advertisement was a large front of the cost. I can remember seeing the same damn Tomb Raider Gamestop Ad well over a thousand times on Twitch alone (it would show up 1...
Mobile Gear Solid, calling it now
You use the touch screen to plan routes, QTE's, item selection, and map/UAV
I got Xenoblade for Christmas this past year and it's easily one of my top games of the generation. Even on the Wii's inferior architecture I've been blown away by some of the environments. The scope, story, and characters are top notch, imo it's a benchmark for the modern day JRPG.
Xenoblade had really good starting sales when it was released (number one in Japan for the first week, 8th for yearly sales), if the game can get strong word of mouth and covera...
Burnout two is one of my favorites on my Gamecube.
The whole series is great, I remember playing the first way back when there were about 4 bonus cars (two of them were a bus and a semi-truck). We didn't care too much because the driving was solid, good graphics, and seeing you rack up insane damage scores during post-crash slow-mos was too fun
Burnout never took itself too seriously which was refreshing. It wasn't about simulation but fun driving...
A lot of companies keep top level exec's through tough times, what matters is if Iwata can learn from his mistakes and bounce back (few comapanies keep someone through multiple defeats). All is not lost (yet), since the 3DS is doing well and the WiiU has slim hope. If the WiiU doesn't make a sizeable profit or Nintendo gives up large home console market share I see him getting the boot, or a demotion (since he's a good Dev).
The biggest question is what is Ninte...
