And then there's the WiiU with Mario 3D World at 93

The first person who walks in gets pegged in the head with a plush Spiny Shell, then gets to keep it.

Io remember when you could buy Leon's Bomber Jacket for a lot of money after RE4

Under Iwata's desire to create more partnerships to increase revenue I could see Nintendo working with Disney to create a Theme Park. A partnership would minimize cost for both groups, and by the time you add Pokemon and Mario and a bunch of other IP's they'd be on their way to making money

Imagine a walk-in Peach's Castle from Mario 64, a Luigi Mansion, Mario Kart 8 ride where you spend half the time upside-down and on your side. Areas would be DK Jungle, Sta...

A lot of Mario Kart Wii's came bundled with the system, which if you didn't notice sold a lot in the first five years.

I could care less what it is. It's gaming related and interesting

PS3 was losing several years straight last gen and pulled into a tie/2nd place in console sales. Who cares how many you sell now, what matters is how many you sell by the end. If the Wii only managed to sell 40 million it wouldn't matter that it had the best launch years, it would've only sold.

Besides, the "Console War" is mostly BS anyway. I got plenty of worth out of both my Wii and 360 last gen, and they all sold relatively close by the end. The combined...

I see computers as something you use by yourself, or online. Consoles are something friends or family can gather around. Game consoles are centered in the living or game room where PC's are usually in a back room or in the corner

It also comes down to what you grew up with. I was born and raised on a SNES, my best gaming experiences were playing games with my brother. Then the GC generation came around and I hopped into that, a lot of fond memories playing Halo 2 with fri...

It seems like the Vita should be able to run a game at a steady 30FPS with minimal playability issues. Plus Borderlands 2 isn't very graphically complex game when it comes to environments. Especially when you consider the Vita is supposed to be able to run PS3 level games it's disappointing the Vita version has these issues. Plus whenever you directly port a game there is more scrutiny over issues

Whoever ported this either needed to optimize the game and controls bet...

First there will be Destiny the game, followed by Destiny the DLC, the Destiny clothes and toys, the Destiny book, Destiny X 3.0...

Activision hopes Destiny will be the game everyone buys by the end of the generation, along with countless other tie-ins

It's less "Destiny the Game" and more "Destiny the Platform"

I'm glad Iwata specified "multiple titles" ranging from "near complete to early stages". I'd hate for Nintendo to come out and say "We have all these great new games...coming out late 2015". Nintendo cannot afford to delay major releases over an extended period of time. They can't have three or four titles every year when they have no third party, especially when Sony and MS have the 3rd party support AND several exclusives coming out every year.

From the IGN Nintendo Voice Chat the biggest complaint is the Battle Mode. Since they aren't using arenas, especially with less players, the tracks can feel pretty vacant. Like the Battle Mode was an afterthought

Otherwise sounds like an amazing game, worthy of 9's

I don't see a single source in this article. Also couldn't find an article online. I have my doubts this happened but if there is proof feel free to share

The only 1st party game that shows off the gamepad is Pikmin 3, even then it barely scratches the surface.

Nintendo needs to put some DS magic into the WiiU library. If the DS was just full of enhanced GBA games it wouldn't have been nearly as successful. The gameplay is what separated it from say, the Vita or mobile games. The DS library is unparalleled in terms of ingenuity, so many ideas clicked and felt natural

I hate seeing the WiiU suffer and watching Nintendo make poor decisions. The WiiU would be a definitive next-gen console if only it had the right games. Nintendo wa...

I've played with one for awhile and it's fairly well made. The shoulder buttons could hang off the edge more and there is a little too much extra plastic imo, but it does feel comfortable. I'd love it if they gave it a slight re-design, a little less clunky around the edges.

It will be interesting to see how Nintendo handles their mobile approach

"eShop awareness has reached a point where gamers use it as a source of video information"

My guess is they create mini, cheap Nintendo-esque games that hammer you with info about WiiU and 3DS games. It's hard to put a finger on their plans, since Iwata has been very vague.

Either Nintendo will create an open world game where you can use the characters, or have first party games implement the figurines into their games. Like you can swap Link's model for a Samus or Mario skin. Imagine playing a 3D Mario game with a Ridley model. I could see these being used in Co-op, where the second player is the figurine.

There's a lot of stuff they can do, it depends on how much they want to invest in each game. They could be simple as Mario's hat...

Nintendo has done remakes of Red/Blue(green) and Gold/Silver, so a Ruby/Sapphire remake isn't a wild idea. Plus why wouldn't you have an amazing announcement after a bad one? You post losses, stocks and confidence take a hit. You announce two remakes which are guaranteed to sell millions of copies and thousands of 3DS' you gain some of it back

Heart Gold and Soul Silver sold 12 million combined on the DS and X and Y sold 12 million on 3DS, OR and AS are going to s...

Played it too safe, overestimated the name of their brand. They needed to plan for the Next Gen better and create more WiiU development teams. Sony and MS are teasing new 1st/2nd party development projects left and right within their first year, where Nintendo has still been pretty quiet 1.5 years into the WiiU

Also their marketing has been dismal. They really only have Directs and online ads for certain games.
