I cringed a little at the lengthy "Powers" segment. I was thinking "just about nobody cares, where's the stuff we care about". Not a lot of exclusive games, a little too long. I thought it was good when I first saw it but looking back it could've been better planned

WiiU plays Wii games, so you can get it anyway. If you're gonna get X you should play the original at some point. And they might be connected in someway other than name

Dude you have to get it. I just beat Xenoblade after 117 hours, my game of last generation. It worth every penny at gamestop, $40-$60.
I got the MK8 Bundle for $360 and ended up with three games: MK8, the promotion game, and Super Metroid from registering my Club Nintendo games. Also once you use the gamepad you will wish every console had the option

Not like the PS4 and X1 have been much better, the difference is they've gotten 3rd party support and have the faith of the game community where Nintendo is the odd one out, mostly their fault but nothing can change it now.
MK8 is amazing, the bundle was worth it to me, and I expect continued excellence of Nintendo 1st and 2nd party.
The Luigi Death Stare memes and gifs are great advertising for MK8. Plus it shows one of many subtle layers of detail added to the game that help make it stand out from the common game. The Mario Kart series does an amazing job of being its own class of game, it's one of the only games of its type, has fun with items and level design, and throws in tons of detail most would overlook or not think of
I'd love to see a gamepad redesign. Not that I would buy an extra gamepad, since the one that came with my WiiU works fine, but a little better handling on the edges, larger ABXY buttons, and bumpers that hang off the edge of the controller so they're easier to press would be great. It's a little awkward shifting from the right stick to the buttons, and going from triggers to bumper, but as you play with it and get used to it, the gamepad becomes fairly intuitive.
Reminds me a lot of Nintendo, and there are others as well. A true gem for the industry
Got the bundle Friday, MK8 is an amazing game. Looks gorgeous, great soundtrack, good item balance and great level design

This is a title I'd like to see only made for current-gen consoles, and since it's Rockstar they're more likely to take less overall revenue in order to make the best game possible. My few complaints with RDR is while the wilderness was very well made and beautiful, I felt the cities and NPC interaction outside of cities wasn't big enough. I know it's not that simple, but I'd love to see a NaughtyDog-NintendoEAD collaboration towards an adventure-platformer. ND would handle story and characters, Nintendo would handle overall game design and art direction, and they'd both work on content. 3DS can't use GC controller. Plus no Zero Suit Samus in 1080p. And when you want to play with friends in-person you will want the big screen. WiiU is the definitive version, 3DS for playing on the go (or if you can't get a WiiU)

MS was much more focused than Sony, with all emphasis on games. Sony went in knowing they had gamers already and tried to hit everything, but things like Powers and some other things put up some speedbumps
Halo Collection was huge for old Xbox fans, made me wish I could get an X1 if I had the reserves to reasonably do so. MS had a continuous seige where Sony let off the gas a few times
