Can Nintendo resurrect Project HAMMER?

I caved and pre-ordered the bundle yesterday. I probably could've waited and found a better total deal, but after 1.5 years of waiting I decided to jump in. By the end of the year I will have no regrets once I get several other WiiU games

MW2 was the first CoD I got into for Online MP. I played COD 2 with friends, COD 3 on Wii, and WaW but mostly for singleplayer. I spent well over 300 hours on MW2 for the year. Tbh it was so good that after being disappointed by MW3 I learned COD would never be as good as MW2. The maps, campaign, and multiplayer was all top notch, it deserved the 94% score

Back when COD actually tried to be the best shooter, and actually got praise for it. I admit BO was fairly creative for ...

Everyone is throwing down the gauntlet. We get to see more concrete details on confirmed games (I'd name them, but it might get messy), rumors we're 99% sure of, and of course secrets (wow I just described E3). Every console maker has something at stake. Nintendo needs to get back in the minds of gamers and the general consumer, Xbox needs to regain gamers they lost to PS4, and PS4 needs to hold its lead while increasing its presence.

I'm expecting a lot of heavy ...

I'm pretty sure the only time Nintendo re-used assets for a sequel on a 1st party title was for the NES Marios, and Mario Galaxy. I'm sure there are exceptions (I just though of New Super Mario Bros Wii/U), but Nintendo always tries to make every game stand out from another

Xenogears is owned by Square Enix, so Monolith can't make a direct sequel, it's why they had to make Xenosaga after they split

The normal 3DS always felt cheap to me, like it could break at any second. It also felt too small (I preferred the feel of the normal DS to the DS lite). The normal 3DS is honestly the prototype to the XL, which is superior in practically every way

I would like to see a clamshell shape for the 2DS, just for more options

I love they're still supporting this. I actually have the game saved on my laptop.

Hopefully Nintendo can silence the doubters of their plan to not hold a traditional conference. It could be left wanting like last year, or very big. 3 days of Nintendo streams here we go

Rare needs to do a proper Banjo, especially now that Kinect isn't as important. Yeah it's not the same company as before, but it's not hard to follow the original formula.

I'd like to see Naughty Dog go back to their platforming roots. They've done nothing but guns and serious environments lately and it would be nice to see them take a crack at platform-adventure game with lots of color and quirky characters. They have a lot of talent and it would be nice ...

What an astounding general statement that could be applied to anything you don't like

I'm easily biased here, but I see more uses for the Gamepad in games than Kinect. It would be one thing if Kinect could detect 1-1 movement and depth without problem, but it's too inconsistent and primitive to have many real uses, you're still stuck with waves and exaggerated motions. Games like Dues Ex and Watch Dogs are great examples of where the gamepad is intuitive, and there are more cool uses for it I believe than Kinect (game wise)

Both consoles have the i...

Let's just forget there's over 150 million 360 and PS3 owners. That will be good for business.

I've seen from 7.5 to 10. Complaints are Battle Mode is lame (no arenas), roster is too limited (too many babies), and outside of new items and anti-gravity there's no special game changes.

It's their safest effort, but will entertain you for months or years to come. Looks gorgeous, great tracks and item balance, anti-grav works wonders, and incredibly fun

It's a shame they weren't more ambitious with Battle Mode, roster, and gameplay outside of anti-gravity, but the core aspect of the game is very well made.

I can see this game lasting the generation, and if they add DLC then it will be even better. Anything from 8-10 seems acceptable, depends on taste

Because it's in the console war, where if your console is losing it gets the brunt of the abuse. Plus Nintendo hasn't been doing a very good job of self-promoting it, it's had a tough first 1.5 years

Now if only Nintendo's Virtual Console could get this much love. Should be getting Gamecube games by now at least
