It's times like this I'm glad my only tastes in gaming isn't for online multiplayer in another run-of-the-mill FPS game and that I can enjoy a good single player game over and over again.
Guess growing up when a multiplayer gaming meant 2 people in front of a TV with a controller each had something to do with that.
Crysis 2 is a 360 exclusive?
I'll reserve judgement until I see it on my own TV I think, I seem to remember Gears 2 looking much better in the "bullshots" and also the commercials showing cutscenes with messages saying "representative of gameplay" when it really wasn't anywhere near what gameplay looks like.
The game WILL look good, I have no doubts about that and the gameplay wll be both fun and awesome. I do however have doubts that it will be raising any graphical bars on ...
Vita is a terrible name for a handheld console.
It'll probably be PSP2 as it just makes sense but if it isn't that then I hope it's something sensible.

A fair point from Insomniac. I would much prefer they make R3 as good as it can be rather than have that game suffer because people want trophies added to what was a PS3 launch title.

I own the games being offered by SCEE but what I plan to do is download inFAMOUS and then trade in my disc based copy for like inFAMOUS 2 or w/e I wanna buy next.

Fanboys, regardless of affiliation are all pretty damn awful to be around/have around.
I think it's a bit too early to be asking that question of Sony tbh and perhaps naive to be expecting a definitive answer at this point.
I say this because Sony is going to be purely focused on fixing the problem that allowed this to happen and getting PSN back on line, not thinking about how they are going to compensate people.

Someone raised the point of having patience after the PS3 had a lack of games for a little while and that is a very fair point when answering the question as to where are all these innovative Kinect games?
Personally, what we have seen so far in terms of Kinect has not interested me and that's all it is. If there were games that made me go OH SHIT!! then I'd have no issues picking one up but at the moment those games don't exist and I can't see past there bein...

All these crazy new abilities, along with user created levels.....this game is going to be amazing. inFAMOUS is my 2nd favourite new IP this gen and the sequel here is looking to be an amazing addition to the franchise.

Certainly looks to be extremely capable, needs devs to be able to get the most out of it though.
End of the day I couldn't care less about the engine used, give me an awesome game that performs well on a technical basis and I'm a happy gamer.
Sure they make great gifts, but so do a £10, £20, £50 gift cards that most high street retailers and online outlets support.

I just got done with a little session of Arctic Edge on my PSP. Man I want some Apocalypse as I have a burning desire for some Motorstorm. I might go pick up a cheap used copy of Pacific Rift or something tomorrow on my day off lol.
I'd have liked a bit more in there...I'd have been quite interested to read as to why he prefers the 360 hardware. I think that would have been an interesting read.
